It depends on your diet. And they are very high in sodium and very low in taste. That is why I try to avoid them.

According to calorie-count.com, there are about 380 calories in one package of ramen. (Note that most packages list the serving size as 1/2 a package so the calorie count looks lower). As many users have already said, the sodium content of ramen is something to be very wary of, especially if your goal is to lose weight. However, most of the sodium comes from the seasoning packets so if you make the ramen with less or even no seasoning, you'll be much better off. Keep in mind that canned soups usually also have extremely high sodium contents that *can't* be easily removed, so unless you are going to make your own low sodium soup, ramen may actually be a better choice.

As far as health is concerned they are not very good for you. But financially they are fantastic because they are so goshdarn cheap. College students tend to live off of ramen for this exact reason.

Technically, no it's not good for you. There's 8 grams of fat in a pack and a ton of sodium. However, 8 grams of fat is nothing for one meal. If you can handle the sodium and you don't have high blood pressure, go for it. It's one of my favorite mid-day snacks and I lost 40 some pounds.

Nopers. The noodles are fried and the seasoning packet has fat and lots of sodium.
But they're still damn good.
I'm not too fond of the seasoning packets, so guess I do all right with just the noodles.

No, they are really high in fat and sodium. You would be better off making homemade soup, that way you also know whats in your soup.

No, sorry. They are really high in fat and sodium, and have no nutritional value. They add bulk and calories to your diet, which you should avoid when losing weight.
