2. Toaster --> toast (For timer-based toasters, only -- see below)

5. Clothes dryer with moisture sensor

Great answer, tlbs, but I think a stovetop would be considered a closed loop in some cases-there are probably temperature sensors to avoid overheating some electric units. Perhaps some other open loops:

Fans-open loop control of air mass or velocity
Window AC unit-any HVAC system without a thermostat
