Is it true that somewhere in the bible it states that a spirtual bro./sis. should not bring another spiritual bro./sis up on worldly charges? me,my fiance, and my bro.ex-wife attend the same church which is led by our pastor(my bro's ex-wife's uncle)evanglist(my bro's ex-wife's mom)youth choir dir.(my bro's ex-wife),the ex- gave my fiance a job where she is store mgr.she got mad at me due to he/she/say drama started by my sister's child who nows live with the ex. she tried to fight me behind this but I didn't feed into it. so she cut my fiance's hrs from 5 days a wk/6 to 8hrs to 1 day a wk/3hrs, he filed for unemployment because she decreased his work hrs and the ex lied to the interveiwer and said he just didn't come back to work! we filed the appeal and our Church told us we were wrong & since we did not drop the appeal, the church kicked us out! tell me where to find this in the bible? honestly were we wrong in filing for the appeal? were their actions right/spiritual? I'm confused?

This Church has all blood family members even the Pastor!Because I brought this to the Pastor first, I felt that it would be resolved without bias, but it seemed that the pastor could not see the chain of events that led up to this point and he felt that we should just letit go? we said we have bills to pay and a 6yr old to take care of!! he said have faith that God would provide for us, he said the Church would help, but still in all what fair is fair, and whats wrong is wrong! how do you use your power and position to hold someone hostage? that definitely not spiritual, to not admit your wrong is not spiritual, to lie regarding that person employment is not spiritual, I don't mean to just point the finger at her but at no time did the Pastor show me a scripture that said what we did was wrong? according to the Spiritual Laws, can anyone tell me where to look in the Bible to find this info? I thought the Bible said obey/follow the laws of the land? wouldn't this fall under this law?

There is so much on this subject in the Bible it would take more space than what we have here.
But there are several things to look at and remember...
1. The Bible does talk about making sure you pay what you owe before you are taken to court.
2. It also talks about being honest and paying the worker the wages agreed upon.
3.Also obey the law of the land.
4.Also in those times matters were settled by the Church
5.Churches today do not have those legal rights when it comes to government laws such as your pay and rights for un-employment.
My opinion is this...
1. Find another Place to worship there is always problems with ex's involved (there is a family thing going on there and you could never get justice anyway.
2. If your fiance is in the right and should be able to collect un-employment then file for it and do what you can to get it other than lie, just be honest.
3. How ever if you feel guilty about it as though you are doing wrong then for you it is a sin (Romans 14 & 15).
4. Pray about it before preceding and if you still feel you are in the right (go for it) *and get out of that den of vipors*

1 Cor. 6:1 "Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints? 2 Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3 Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life? 4 If then you have judgments concerning things pertaining to this life, do you appoint those who are least esteemed by the church to judge? 5 I say this to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you, not even one, who will be able to judge between his brethren? 6 But brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers!
7 Now therefore, it is already an utter failure for you that you go to law against one another. Why do you not rather accept wrong? Why do you not rather let yourselves be cheated? 8 No, you yourselves do wrong and cheat, and you do these things to your brethren!"
Now, whether or not your Pastor is right or wrong, I cannot judge. However, I see nothing in Scripture that permits you to be "kicked out" of the congregation for something like this. This type of action is reserved for unrepentent sinners who have been repeatedly councilled.

Find another church. No... you were not wrong. Seems to me this other person, the one who cut your fiance's hours, is being spiteful.
I'm not sure about it being in the Bible in that sense. But I wouldn't think for one second that you were wrong in the situation you have given here. Sounds like the church itself is just as guilty about it by kicking you out (bring you up on "charges" based on someone else's word)... So with that, I'd say the church is merely a country club... they have their people they want to keep happy and they don't care about the rest. Do not drop the appeal...

If people in the church will not do the right thing by following spiritual precepts you have no choice but to provide for your family. You need to leave this situation after you finish the court proceedings. Can you get witnesses to catch them in their lies?
Don't be confused- you are in the right. This pastor is not listening to God and has fear of man. See Psalm 15 and Psalm 18

The "bible" is a hodge-podge diocument of stuff that is useful to the christian church in the control, containment, and management of the slaves of the Roman Empire, written by a group of slave control theoriticians. The term "law" only come into use as of the American Revolution, as all rule before that was by decree of one-man government, a totalitarian dictatotor supported by the church. Learn more at

Christians would be able to treat each other fairly and have no need for worldly law. In this case someone was not being godly. If some one treats you unfairly as a Christian what should your response be?
Your church should have been able to counsel you and point out where this applies biblically.
P.S. Find another church

1 Corinthians 6:1-11
Sounds like your church is a mess-I don't think scripture will help you though. I don't think anyone there will follow the Bible. The pastor should fix this.

! Cor says to iron out problems among church members before going to court, but what if the church members are the ones making the church situation sinful? If the church staff will not act in a Christian manner, should not your fiance' act to feed himself? God bless

In 1 Corinthians there is a reference to Christians taking members of their congregation to court. However, I don't think that that is a direct correlation to your situation.
