ok i am a mother of three and need to loose about 50 lbs i dont have much time to excersize and there is always junk food in the house i need something that will work on suppressing my appitite and give me a little more energy as well as help me loose 50 lbs also i am quiting somking very soon and i am affraid it is gonna cause me to gain more weight so please any and all suggestions will help

My first thoughts are more protein, axe all the snack foods from the house (if they're not there, you can't eat them!), try to at least walk around the block once a day. Look up healthy recipes and watch the fat content and portion size. Drink a lot of water. Go to the park and walk around purposely while the kids play.

And congrats on quitting smoking, I wish I could!

Take 20 minutes to sit down and write a list of healthy snacks, meats, fish, fruits and veggies. Take your children to the local track and let them play or walk with you while you walk for 30 minutes. Or if youd like to join a gym most have babysitters. If you go on a 1200 cal diet a day..or round about. I know your probably dont have time to count calories. But just eat healthy...you know whats healthy and what isnt. Portions are a big issue. MAKE sure you only eat a serving size. Pretzels are healthy but like 16 pretzels equals almost 200 cals...just watch out for stuff like that. GET RID of all the junk food, its not healthy obviously, and your kids will end up being overweight. Theres no reason for it to be in the house. Replace it with grapes (frozen, makes an awesome dessert), or yogert, and jello! Take the time to make dinner, Rachael Ray has her 30 minute cook book and trust me they are AWESOME and healthy. Once you start eating right you will get more energy. NO COKES-drink water. Its free. And do stop smoking. Just stay on a good diet and exercise and you should loose weight not gain.

I agree, try buying less junk food for it will be good for the whole family as well. Do not underestimate soda, if you stop drinking soda altogether there will be a big difference(if you drink soda I mean).

I think Ariom meant cut carbs. eat less, well balanced meals with proper portions. don't buy junk food. your kids need to eat healthy as well. look at these sites for more tips on diet and exercise. good luck!

drink lots of water...stay away from cokes/coffee and don't snack on anything besides fruit/veggies.
