seems like an oxymoron. A loving god would not send his children to hell for simply questioning his beliefs because of what they hear from MAN. simply hearing about god doesn't mean he has to exist. If god loves everyone of his children why would he even create a hell for eternity? why would he bother making a hell as punishment or threaten you that if you don't love him your toast forever.

He gives eternal punishment because He is perfectly just and that is what men are deserving of.
He offers eternal life because He so loved men that he bore the punishment they deserved on the cross so they would never have to bear it.
If you don't love Him, the only place you are suited for is the lake of Fire.
Those are just the facts.
Do you really think heaven would be heaven if it was full of people with an arrogant, God condemning attitude like yours?
It would be Hell.
He made Hell for the Devil and his angels - the ones who introduced all of the misery and grief currently being suffered by Mankind - and you side with Devil more than God.
Jesus said you are either with Him or against Him;
you are either gathering, or you are scattering.
If you choose to condemn God and refuse to believe in His salvation, and His free offer of eternal life, I assure you, you wouldn't like heaven, but would be much more comfortable with those of your own kind.
That is why He commands all men everywhere to repent, and beleive the Gospel.

These kind of questions come up because religious Leaders have sent this type of untruth to the masses to scare them into being controlled, so what a business? The Loving God that i know tells the truth if you are looking? Every issue that seems to make God the guilty one, man uses. If you look in the bible you will find that Hell is not hot, but simply the grave.
The bible promises a Resurrection from the grave.
The problem is that you and so many millions of people assume things because of the lies of men.

(Acts 24:15) 15 and I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

Webster’s Dictionary says that the English word “hell” is equal to the Hebrew word Sheol and the Greek word Hades. In German Bibles Hoelle is the word used instead of “hell”; in Portuguese the word used is inferno, in Spanish infierno, and in French Enfer. The English translators of the Authorized Version, or King James Version, translated Sheol 31 times as “hell,” 31 times as “grave,” and 3 times as “pit.” The Catholic Douay Version translated Sheol 64 times as “hell.” In the Christian Greek Scriptures (commonly called the “New Testament”), the King James Version translated Hades as “hell” each of the 10 times it occurs.—Matthew 11:23; 16:18; Luke 10:15; 16:23; Acts 2:27, 31; Revelation 1:18; 6:8; 20:13, 14.

It all started when adam sinned.Because GOD is holy he cant have sin in his presence.so man got seperated from GOD.

So GOD needs something to pay the penalty of sin.JESUS was the perfect sacrifice for our penalty. So JESUS came to earth lived among us and died for us on the cross.JESUS was the penalty.

Why would he sent u to hell?? well when u arnt cleansed of your sins u can enter into your presence. But when he made a way can u deny such a plan and then blame GOD why he does send people to hell. Its a free will choice.Make yours.

GOD loves u so much that he sent his son JESUS to die for u to reconcile u back.

John 3:16 says "For GOD so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoso ever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life".Ask JESUS to come into your heart and forgive ur sins and cleanse ur past with his blood.

With a simple prayer like above u can be saved.

You can't have real love without justice. A word picture that portrays hell as an unimaginable painful reality for evil is a picture that justice will prevail. It is also a hope for meek people who suffer at the hand of evil that they can trust God to prevail over their oppressors who will get what they deserve.

I have worked undercover for the Drug Enforcement Agency and have experienced people who deserve hell as well as every arrogant sinner.

Hell is a choice.

I wonder if Ur parents give U choices??? Say... "Be home by midnight or.....??? Yes, it may not be "or we will kill U!" Even though when Ur late U think they did kill U! U make choices, good & bad every day. U are aware of the consequences of believing in Christ, make Ur choice! God provided Salvation for U but BY UR CHOICE U WILL KILL URSELF FOR ETERNITY!!! Some people are just REBELLIOUS, and it will kill them!!! Sorry that U seem to want to stay that way. John

Great question!

But the answer is simple. Hell was created for the devil and his cohorts, NOT for people. God sends no one there. It is our choice. If we do not accept Jesus as our Savior, the consequence of that decision is to spend eterninty to hell. God doesn't want any of us to perish, but we must chose Him on our own. He will never force us. It's totally up to us! So essentially, by not choosing God, we send ourselves to hell.

This is because God is perfect love, as well as perfect justice. He is a holy God and cannot have sin in His presence. Therefore, if we do not have the blood of Jesus to cover our sins, we can't stand in the presence of God (Heaven).

The eternal punishment may just be that you realize for all eternity that you could have lived in the majesty of God's pressence and yet you chose not to. Now you get to spend eternity with Satan, as you wished. It would not be a just God to force someone to live in his home if they chose not to.

I want my children to grow to be independent adults. I want them to make the right choices, but I can't force them to. I don't want brainwashed robots for children and neither does God. It's hard for a parent to watch a child that chooses drugs, prostitution, etc. and yet most of the time, all they can do is pray and love them in spite of the choice they made that could quite easily kill them. God must be saddened, as well, seeing some of the choices his children make.

You forget that He is also Just.

A judge who has compassion must still uphold the law. He/she cannot excuse behavior that is against the law. He/she must judge justly.

No one has to suffer eternal punishment. Because God IS loving, He provided a way to avoid the penalty of the law. Jesus Christ paid the fine and served the time for your sins. "...but the free gift of God is eternal life in union with Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23b)

If you choose not to allow that, then you must face the judge with your own excuses and rationales. You will be judged according to the law, and then suffer the penalty for breaking it. "For the wages of sin is death..." (Romans 6:23a)

If you live as an enemy to God, why would you expect heaven anyway?

I also believe it's an insuperable inconsistency. It strikes me as complete nonsense that God should give humans free will and then punish them for choosing to use that free will. Besides, eternal suffering is not a just punishment for any crime, however heinous. No truly just god would sentence someone to eternal torment. It's obviously nothing more than a scare tactic intended to keep people in line.

God did not create hell or heaven, mankind has created these things! Made up junk like this in order to control the masses! It is good that your parents do not threaten you. All this punisment stuff by a supposedly loving God has always seemed stupid to me to..
