People who believe in God believe in God. They can't believe in the wrong God but they can practice their religion in the wrong way. They can have a flawed conception of God but what they mean by God is the divine, eternal creator. Christians, Jews and Muslims all worship the same God with different names and different manifestations.

I am a Christian, formerly an atheist. I had a horrible childhood growing up and when I was first confronted with the possbility of God I was told that the reason bad things happen to people is because God is punishing them for their misdeeds. I went around until I was 17 with that belief and I had come to the conclusion that if there was a God then he wasn't worth serving. Lucky for me, God placed someone in my life that explained the facts to me. Bad things don't happen because God wills them to; that's what the enemy (the devil) wants you to think. Think about it...how can a perfect being make something evil? And before someone says, "Well how do you explain God wiping out the people in Noah's village? Or killing people in the Bible?" Remember that God loves us the way a parent loves a child; he is strict, but fair. I would advise you to read the Bible and learn the kinds of things these people were doing to anger God to that extent. God is sad when we're sad, he remembers all our accomplishments, and forgives all our mistakes. Bad things might happen in our life, but God can use anything bad and use it for good. If you're too busy hating God and denying his existence, you aren't thinking about the lies and strongholds the enemy is weaving in your life and you are playing right into his hand. Bad things happen because of sin, because the devil tempted Adam and Eve to disobey God. Everyone suffers, but God is just to forgive those who seek him and takes care of those who honor Him. So to answer your question...no, I do not worry about following the wrong God because he has taken care of me and he continues to bless me.

Since I seek and serve God as Infinite,Eternal and Ultimate Love,I do not think that He would radically deceive me. I assess peoples' theologies by the behaviors that flow from living those beliefs.
I am a Catholic Christian and the more I live the Faith the more I see that all flows to and from Love. I respect other peoples' beliefs and I seek to understand them and I expect other people to do the same for me.

Actually no. To follow my belief I must accept the Word of God fully. His Word says...
John 14:6
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
I accept that completely at face value. Let's say I'm wrong, what harm has been done by my living a morally upright life? Let's say your wrong, what would be the resulting outcome?
Everyone has faith in something. And everyone has to choose what that something will be. For me and my house we will serve the Lord.
Cheers

No, I am not concerned in the least. Do you "believe?" in rocks? Water? No, you KNOW rocks and water are real. That's how sure I am of the gods I honor and know.
