JESUS I tell everyone this!
HELL NO nothing will happen to you that's why when you do show up there is a half million people there thinking the same thing.
listen the only people that should be called for jury duty is senior citizens. they love that shitt and besides they haven't got anything else to do.
not unless you want to sit around and get a lousy $7 a day and eat dominoes.
personally I am not into being GOD and making a decision for someones demise on this planet.
I am not religious but GOD should be a persons only judge and jury. He will sort you out eventually.

Most probably, nothing will happen. Courts usually have more jurors than they can use. Since summons are sent via regular mail, there is really no way to demonstrate that you even received it. There is always a chance you could be arrested. But unless they have proof that you ignored the summons, they can't really prove anything. I always appear for jury duty, but I know plenty of people who ignore the summons.

It really depends on the state that you are in. I know in Texas it isn't a big deal if you call in and explain. They will usually give you a new date or tell you to forget about it. I am new to Utah so I don't know there standards. No matter where you are I would simply call the court you got the jury duty from and ask what you need to do, but nothing bad will happen.

I think you should call them that you received two letters, and the other one was called in and the other is not. If you did not fix this you might end up paying the court, here in L.A. its about $1500 I think. Anyway you should not received more than one letter for jury duty. One letter every year.

Just go, its an interesting experience, and might not even get picked to appear in court. And its a guilty-free excuse to get out of work.
But they aren't going to hunt you down but some cases they do issue a bench warrant

Non-appearance for duty is contempt of court because it is a valid order. Nevertheless, you could cite valid reasons for your absences.

Usually they have a number for you to call to check if you're needed. But good luck with that.

You should call and explain your story, otherwise you could have a warrant issued. They are understanding but you should get it straightened out before it gets out of hand.
