"na tasya karyam karanam ca vidyate"
(Meaning:: God has nothing to do)

Thus, when you have nothing to do, what do you do?
You play!

You pretend to be someone else, somewhere else, doing something new. Maybe you do this by watching tv, or by going to a bar and hearing about someone's adventures, or you read a book or come onto Yahoo Answers, etc. This is what God is always doing, because there is nothing God has to do.

God is self fulfilled, and never worries about where food or shelter is coming from. There is no danger to God. So God is always playing. And if God is that force at the center of the Life, then we are always playing as well.

Everyone is playing a different game, and since that driving force inside of us is God, we tend to automatically feel that the game that we are playing is the "ultimate truth."

And, it is!!! But it's not the -whole- ultimate truth.

Just because you have God in you, and everything you do is for God, that doesn't make you yourself God. It makes you God in expression!

Here is a theory...

If a boy has ten different toys, he gives them each a different personality and different actions according to that personality, but everything he invests in them is really inside himself. So, the toys are not him, but he is the toys.

He depends on the toys to create the game; without them, what would the boy be able to do? And, at the same time, the toys are playing with their toys (think of barbie and all of her clothes, cars, kitchens, and everything).

This same thing happens in a dream. But, if we are to dream of an empty and random void, where would the happiness be? This is why even in the weirdest dreams there is some structure and some personality.

Finally, when we grow up, we want to travel and buy things, listen to music, look at artwork, so on....

We're still just playing.

God is not alone. There are plenty of saints and angels up there. Plus, theres all the people who died and went to heaven.
And of course, theres us down here.
And we must consider that He is every where, including in our hearts.
God has plenty to do. He answers people's prayers, fixes their problems, makes sure that His children are safe. And there are so many of us. It's a wonder that He can get it done at all.
But then, all things are possible with God.

The Bible tells us that God's ways are different from our ways. God isn't lonely. The mind and heart of God is infinite.

Loneliness is a condition of man, not God. Now, if you will accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, receive the Holy Spirit and be diligent in seeking God, the Bible says you will find Him and He will start to renew your mind to understand the things of God.

God is not alone. There are people in Heaven with Him. He has His Son and the Christians that have passed away. He has plenty to do answering prayers and watching over us.

Read Revelation 4. He is far from being alone. Angels sing to Him without rest day and night.

Mt. Kilimanjaro: That was blasphemy. Shame on you! I rebuke you! FYI: Matter and the earthly mundane don't exist in heaven. Everything is in spirit form.

Of course He's not alone!!! He's in the spiritual world, with many spiritual companions, enjoying and having fun.

here, read this, it really makes sense to me:

"The Spiritual World
The Vedas tell us that beyond the limited material world is the infinite spiritual world, the abode of Krishna and His expansions, and our original home as well. Everyone there is eternal and absorbed in ever-increasing happiness.

Transcendence is not static, but full of dynamic variety and rich with spiritual qualities. Spirit by nature is conscious, and every aspect of the spiritual world—plants, animals, people, hills, rivers, houses—is a fully God-conscious person.

The main feature of the spiritual world is that everyone there loves God (Krishna and His expansions) with the fullness of their being. When we purify our hearts and awaken our innate love for Krishna, we become qualified to enter the spiritual world to take up our eternal service to the Lord. Once attaining the spiritual world, we souls never have to return to the material world.

Internal Potency: Nature of the Spiritual World
Krishna's internal potency manifests the spiritual world. It is divided into the

* potency for existence
* potency for knowledge
* potency for pleasure

The potency for eternal existence manifests the spiritual planets and the bodies of all the inhabitants. It gives shape to the unlimited variegatedness of the land, villages, forests, hills, and pastime places in the spiritual world.

The potency for knowledge manifests all the hopes, imagination, intelligence and judgments devotees use to serve the Lord and exchange in never-ending, relishable relationships with Him. The arrangements for all the loving pastimes enacted by the Lord and His devotees are regulated by this potency.

The potency for pleasure completely captivates Krishna Himself. This energy is represented by Radha, Krishna’s female counterpart. Radha is the embodiment of highest love for Krishna. Love captivates Krishna's heart completely and gives everyone in the spiritual world the highest pleasure."

We don't know the fullness of that answer. All we've been given is what we need to live on this earth. Are there other God's that rule other worlds? It's not out of the question.

God is a Power. It works through us. Humans - want somebody to play with. Powers don't care. But - by working through us - God has lots of playmates.

Well, it's hard to say what is the existence of one versus many. In a way, as an individual, one is made of a party of individual cells that work together.
