My boss is really into _A Course in Miracles_ and talks about it as though it's the best thing since white bread, but after flipping through the introductory book he let me borrow, it reads like gibberish to me, watered-down Christianity with a touch of New Age positive thinking sprinkled in.

Have any of you benefited from _A Course in Miracles_? In what ways?

YES, I have greatly benefited from diligent study of acim over the last 3 years I have to disagrre about it being New Age, though I have compaired it in the past with some new age authors that idea has come and gone.. you might ask your boss for his book and read the introduction to the workbook lessons its pretty awesome and I had noticed a few promises that you might find interesting, it obvious that you haven't completely dismissed acim it is a course in mind training and it teaches you to in my words observe thoughts in the mind and how we identify ourselves and how we are not seeing the world as God created it.

Peace my friend .. wonderful question

even as the pupil is waiting the instructor seems. yet imagine of the probability that it is your ego it truly is hoping you're saying and trust that you do not have the time or attempt. you're nonetheless wondering about it. you receives at a loss for words in case you examine bits of it because it truly is targeted in sequence. i recognize, I did that before each thing and rejected it. It truly in straightforward words takes about 10 minutes an afternoon on the most. fairly that's utilizing what it says as you go via your day that has the most excellent fee. i recognize that's what I actually were making waiting to study and practice. enable me recognize once you've any questions.

Yes i benefited greatly by stopping my study of it...generally it has some poetic parts, particularly the "take this gift" excerpts...but the main body of the book is supposedly "channeled" from Jesus...i find that a bit of a stretch and a little presumptuous of the author...however the main idea is solid, that idea being..."how deceived i was to think what i feared was in the world, instead of in my mind" (thoughts control your acts)...let me just say you will be wise to question everything...regards

You are right. "A Course in miracles" is very New Age, and not centered on God at all. It's a good thing to steer clear of.
