Yes any movement requires energy and you body must burn calories and fat to supply it.

Of course you do. You burn calories when you smile, when you talk, even when you sleep. The key to fitness is to elevate your heart rate for at least 15-20 minutes at a clip 4-5 days a week. This will elevate your METABOLISM 24/7. Weight lifting will also be VERY beneficial to you if your goal is to lose weight. ALWAYS check with your Dr. before jumping into any excercise routine. FYI- DIET is 90% of the game. Drink more water, start out slow and keep consistent- easy does it.

Your body burns calories regardless of what you are doing - that is part of being alive. Even when you are sleeping, your body burns calories.

The more active you are, the more calories you burn. That is why people recommend that you exercise - it increases your caloric burn rate, makes your body healthier, and makes you feel better.

You burn calories all the time, even when you're sitting still doing nothing. You just burn them at a very low rate when you are inactive. The more you exert yourself, the more you burn.
