He has a good job and makes a very good living- he says that the only reason he's living with her is because the house is now in his name and he needs to "protect his investment". I think that's bullsh-- because he lived with her BEFORE the house was in his name.
Personality wise, he's very cocky and arrogant. A little too much I think, though I am attracted to him- he's very talented in alot of things- Say's he's got a fantastic life- doesn't need a wife, and from many perspectives I guess he does have a great life. He has someone to cook for him, he travels alot, etc. He says he needs to care for her.....I like him but I don't know if I can live up to mom (who by the way is terrible to me).

Momma's boy syndrome, never good. There always so cocky and arrogant until you've got a relationship with them were they depend on you and then the insecurities come out. Know a few ladies who feel for the cocky verrsa just to find out later that when it came to loving someone else he was clueless. You have to understand that in situations like this mom is for every binding to his well, is for ever reinventing herself for him, its almost and I hate to say it, a perverse of the spouse-spouse relationship. Chances are dad was the quite mean type and didn't show much love and is no longer in the picture. So he never got to see how emotions play into it. Also showing this guy doesn't really care a lick about you anyways, if your such a good person and his life is so fantastic why bring you in on it? You deserve someone who whats you in that fantastic life, what I see is him convincing you that its fantastic when it really isn't. Fantastic is having someone you love right there with you enjoying it... but be warn I had an uncle on my moms side like this and he had a little lady just like you for about 7 years before she got wise that their was something amissed, I almost what to ask you if your in Iowa?
