Professor Stephen Hawkins can communicate, with the use of his computer and speech synthesizer. You would be surprise how other People with Disabilities, loss of sight, hearing, speech, or brain damage can and do communicate. I visited a friend last week whose 27 year old Son was born with Spina Bifida and has 'silent seizures'. The only 'word' I comprehend was 'green' yet his Mother understood him completely, new when he was anxious, upset, wanted a drink, wanted to go to the garden and also when he was having a silent seizure. Those people who are around the individual get to know them, while I was just visiting. They have body language!
