I recently changed my diet and I'm eating more fruits and veggies and completely eliminated red meat - pork - and chicken consumption. I replaced the meat with fish and nuts and grains for protein intake.

But I heard somewhere that fruit and veggie consumption can affect your work-out and stop muscle formation.

Does anyone know anything about this?

I've never seen a medical study that stated such. fruits and veggies are nothing but beneficial for the human body. now a diet is low in fat and high in fiber can have a definite impact on muscle growth. for women the daily fat intake should be no less than 20% of the daily calories. when the fat intake is reduced to o low and the fiber intake is high this reduces the amount of testosterone that is produced and the amounts of circulating androgens in the bloodstream. that will definetly impede muscle growth and fat loss

No, fruits & veggies should not impact your muscle formation. It looks like you have taken up the protein slack with fish. You may want to agument this with an occasional protein shake.

Just curious, why did you cut out chicken? Skinless breasts are a great source of protein, and low in fat.
