You have either strained a muscle or cracked a rib.It' s the possibility of a rib injury that prompted the NHS direct to advise you to the A&E.Don't you have a local GP.If he thinks the situation is serious he can call an ambulance. This having no money business is a bit silly isn't it.What do you get and what do you do with it,You must keep some by for emergencies. You have obviously got the money to be on the computer whether your own or not I don't know.Get yourself sorted. Sell something for the taxi fare if needs be.

ring an ambulance hunny. tell them your having trouble breathing. it sounds like you may have broke some of your ribs, but there is a chance that it may have punchered your lung which will cause your lung to collapse. the nhs suck these days. its a service that is slowly becoming an utter joke. they expect people to travel miles when a GP should come out to you. i had mrsa last year yet the doctors still refused to come out to me. i was rushed into hospital an hour later, was in hospital on the isolation ward for nearly a month. please don't suffer ring an ambulance straight away. don't suffer what your going through. you need to see a doctor straight away. truly hope you get better very soon hunny. all the best and take care xxx

An ambulance will charge you for the transportation, even 911 charges you for transportation . You probably have bruised your muscles in the ribs And of course there is a possibility that you may have broken one. I recommend you put ice on the area of pain for fifteen minutes at a time. Take an anti inflammatory medication such as Advil three times daily.
if you don't feel better in a few days you need to find a way to get to an emergency room or a doctor.

If you are not going to go to the doctor then wrap yourself up tightly as you can at your ribcage with a sheet. Very tight. My grandmother broke a rib and that is all the doctor did for her. You really need to go to the doctor though to make sure you didn't puncture something. Best wishes.

You could go to the Health Department. Most likely you have a broken rib. There is no repair or support procedure for this. It will eventually heal, depending on your age you could have osteoporous; therein could be the problem. I would call a social services or church organization in your area. Someone wil help you.

If NHS direct say go A&E ask about dialling for an ambulance.
Alternatively try asking a neighbour or friend to drive you.
Or go to you doctor if a late surgery is available tonight or first things tomorrow morning.
You may also want to vote to save our A & E when you are feeling a bit better http://www.google.com/search?q=Petition+Save+our+A%26E&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-Address&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=ie7&rlz=1I7SKPB

If you call an ambulance they will come and get you or a friend could drive you.
Doesn't sound to serious, maybe cracked/bruised rib or a muscle strain.
Best to get it checked out by a doctor.

It needs checking out. Do you not have a friend or relative who could give you a lift? If there's really no alternative you should call an ambulance and explain the situation.

Ambulance, if it hurts to breath then you have probably damaged something. You need to get checked out. You wouldn't want to risk exacerbating the injury would you?
