More than likely doesn't have an LSD.Check the rear diff cover it should have fins on it if its LSD.Or jack the car up from the diff have a friend hold one tire while you spin the other.

The viscus differential and the LSD both wheels off the ground turn one tire forward in park and see if the other wheel turns the same direction. Open differentials tend to turn axles in opposite directions. It would be very rare if that 240sx had a limited slip differential. If the car had Hicus four wheel steering then the LSD would be more common.

Any old 18 year old car can have problems the KA-24 engine does not make enough power. So a month out of service while you put in a 2.0 liter DET motor with turbos. First car I would reccomend a Honda Civic while they are not super fast there are more performance parts for Honda. Second car get a good Body 240SX and modify it.
