Read James 4:7-8
To resist the devil u need to submit yourselves to GOD.
Remember what JESUS said when he was tempt.
When the devil tempt JESUS to turn stones to bread he could have .But he replied with "Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from GOD".
U defeat the devil with the word of GOD.When u use word it just runs away.
Also come close to GOD and GOD will come close to u as long as u are in the presence of GOD no devil in hell will be able to make u fall.U will get temptations but rest assured GOD will make a way.
But when u do fall seek GOD forgiveness. 1 John 1:9
Like u are having problem eating too many sweets. And the devil tempts u with sweet what do u do.
"I can do all things through JESUS CHRIST who strengthens u" then it will feel from u. Read Philippians 4:13
Buy the book The battlefield of mind by joyce meyer.
Its might help u.
John 3:16 says "For GOD so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoso ever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life"..Ask JESUS to come into your heart and forgive ur sins and cleanse ur past with his blood.
With a simple prayer like above u can be saved.

If anyone tells you the devil [or whatever name he is using that day] doesn't exist, Satan rejoices.
The devil is present all our lives, waiting for a weak moment to tempt us - when we drink and drive, shop lift 'just this one thing', cheat on a test/paper/taxes. If the devil was present in human form, he'd probably be the best-looking, most charismatic person in the room [and not necessarily a man or even an adult.]
God and the devil know all our weaknesses - we must be aware of them and resist temptation - that is why God gave us free will.
I am a devout Christian but I don't believe seeing a psychiatrst is wrong. There are Christian counselors who can help you.
Pray and study scripture or devotions every day - Satan will find someone easier to manipulate.

My guide in all things is the word of God. The bible says, "submit yourself to God, resist the devil, and he must flee". If you are a born again, bible believing Christian who desires to share the love of Christ with others, there is something you need to know: you will be targeted by satan and his demons. But we needn't be afraid, because "greater is He that is in us (God) than he who is in the world (satan)." God protects us, if we keep close to Him.
I think though you should be careful what you say. Why? Because, yes, satan can hear, and he loves to use your fears against you. God will never do this. It's always a good idea not to give "the enemy" any ammunition. But don't worry about satan...concentrate on seeking God's kingdom. The closer you are to God, the more equipped you will be. Read Ephesians 6, it tells about the spiritual war we are in. And of course, the Most High God will always win.

The best way to keep the devil out of your life is to give no focus to him (or evil).
What do I mean by that?
Keep your focus on good, positive things. Re-word things to a positive framework.
Say "I'm going to eat a healthy diet, more and more."
Rather than. "I'm not . . .
When you give power to a negative that attracts the negative.
Give your power in thought and word to the positive.
This will really help you. When someone says you'll attract the devil, tell them impossible, I have Jesus with me always.
Jesus walks with me, he eats with me, he is my bro.
If you were to spend every moment with Jesus, what would you and Jesus eat together? Would Jesus over eat candy?
I think Jesus would eat some candy along with you, but I doubt he would pig out with you. Then again he did make wine for a wedding where they had already been on a several day binge.
Hey but who better to party with?

It is possible to go too far in seeing a "demon in every teapot" and believe that all our problems are related to the devil. I left a church that taught this. Sometimes it is just our needing to learn self-control. Is it possible that this is your situation?
You are not defining what "so much sweets" means. Are you eating sweets all day, every day, in large quantities? Are you just having one average sized candy bar (not over 250 cal.) a day?
As christians, we are advised by scripture to read, meditate, and study the Bible so that we know and understand who we are in Jesus Christ. Knowing and understanding our relationship with Christ can keep us from a lot of pain and frustration. See Hosea 4:6.
Pray, seek counsel from wise mature christians, and ask them to help you to find the solution to your problem.
The closer we are to Christ, the more difficult it is for "the devil" to get at us. This takes time and effort, prayer, meditation, study and being around mature christians who can help us.
Hope this has helped.
God bless.

The devil is very real, seems the closer I am to God the more he tries to attack. If you don't believe in God you wouldn't feel anything from the devil because he already rules you. But there is times I wake up at night because he attacks in my sleep. He's a very real being who I hate.

If this is a serious question, Ephesians tells us how to keep the enemy away- and that is by God's word. It is our sword and shield. satan hates scripture- we need to always be in word and prayer, spend time with the Lord daily, and keep our minds on Him.
If we neglect to study His word, we are easily going to be led astray. And attacked- spiritual warfare is real.
Ephesians 6:17
Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
(Read all of Ephesians 6)
-Greater is HE that is in you, than he that is in the world -1 John 4:4

don't get to curious
the demons will see it and your curiosity may be filled
the devil is bad that's what i say.
watching movies such as "the exorcist" is bad.
also if you have ever played with a weigy board you need to ask god for forgiveness
if you ever feel the presence of demons
just say " in the name of god leave me be"
they hate god so it works
that was a really good question!!!!
god bless you.

He will always be lurking to pull you down, if not him personally than one of his minions. All you can do is be alert and pray for help. You resist the things he puts in front of you to pull you away from God. Nobody said it was easy, it's not.

You resist him. The scriptural reference for guarding what you say (and thus believe) is the life lesson of Job.
Job 1:5 - JOB SAID, "Perhaps my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts." Thus Job did continually.
After Job said this, he started to believe it. Then, Satan was able to move in and disrupt his life, family and possessions. Following a brief period of self-pity, Job figured out who's who in the universe and got his mind right.
