I would say try to get help for yourself, see your doctor and discuss these symptoms. Depression is a major factor in how you feel. Medication does help, but as I have told others not a magic bullet. Do things that make you feel good about yourself. Tell yourself things like, "I am a good person, I am strong, beautiful and intelligent". Keep saying until you believe it. You cannot expect anyone to love you if you don't love yourself. I am sure that you are wonderful. Try to get support from friends, family, teachers etc. Counseling is a good option, meaning that talking to an objective person can help you find out why you have these feelings. Take care of yourself.

Its amazing what gettikng your hair cut will do! and maybe go to the mall to one of the beauty counters and sign up for a lesson they are really fun. I've done one at Mac and if you buy 40 dollars they will teachyou how to do your makeup. BUy a new outfit. Trouser pants a blazer and cute top underneath with some jewelery and a pointy shoe. I know that sounds weird but it makes me feel so good :) exercising is hard- i know -what i try to do is limit my portions i realized how much food i was eatig and now i make sure i eat on smaller plates and i walk at least for a half an hour every day-if you start with baby steps its easier to acheive. Make better eating deciscions- ask yourself am i eating enough veggie portions enough fruit? ect.. Its a lifestyle change. Tanning does wonders also. Makes me feel so good having a summer glow. Good luck to you- and remember how beautiful you are inside too. Get in front of a mirror and write a list of all the things you like about yourself and are greatful for. You'll be suprised. good luck!

I know it's the last thing you want to hear, but join Curves. It's an all woman health club and they'll work you through your workout routine and help you lose weight. The exercise will also boost Seratonin levels in your brain which will eleviate your depression. Any meds you'd be given does the same thing, but the weight would get you depressed again. The male situation would fix itself once the weight drops. After you drop enough to feel confident in your workout clothes, swtich to a coed gym and you'll have a full social calendar and no time to be dpressed.
Good luck ;o)

I've talked to lots of people who found volunteering to be great therapy. Animal shelters seem to work particularly well for people who like animals. The people tend to be really friendly and if you don't like it you can leave any time.
Find something you like to do that is outside. Staying inside reduces your exposure to sun which mucks up your serotonin levels. A friend of mine walks dogs as a side job and says the exorcise is good for her, she loves the animals, and it puts cash in her pocket.
Also, see a doctor and make sure you don't have thyroid problems. That can cause problems with both weight and mood issues. Plus you can ask about a prescription that might help you get up and out of the bedroom.
Everybody has relationship problems. Make sure your not looking for a guy that will "save" you. It is counter intuitive, and perhaps unfair, but guys can sense the neediness and won't be interested. It is hard if you have obsessive thinking about finding a guy but if you can find a cause and a group of people to hang out with that will go a long way to taking your mind off it.

It is good that you recognize your depression. Many of us go thru this on a regular basis. There are lots of medications to help. There are things we can do to help ourselves too. Are you exercising? I have found that exercise is very helpful. I you get on a walking regime, I think you will feel better both mentally and physically. This is a good way to start losing some weight too. It just takes motivation but, when we are really down, it is hard to even make ourselves do things we know are good for us. Do see your Doctor and I am sure you will get help, although it takes a few weeks for most medication to start working. Good luck.

to give yourself a confidence boost get your hair cut and bin all your make up and buy new ones, not to change how you are, but to highlight you and your wondeful personality! do excersise every day have a goal of what you want to achieve out of your workout, eat healthy, talk to someone about how you feel, try writing a diary, talk to a doctor, find a new hobby or set yourself a goal, try going to a different bar or club for a new mix of people, or meet guys at the gym while working out! lol

My suggestion is for you to consult a psychiatrist and tell the latter your problem/s that cause you to be depessed. They would be the appropriate person who can prescribed the necessary pill/s to relieve your depression
A medical General Practisioner may not be of much help as they are not trained in such specialised medical field

By stop hiding from it and thinking it will go away if you just sleep it off.. I doesn't work that way. Join a gym, you can feel better and socialize by going to the gym.
