Okay, yes, I know I have posted this question before, but I want to get as many different answers as possible, and I need this info quickly. Here is the question: What do YOU think about global warming? Is it something to stress over every day? Is it going to kill us all? Or, on the opposite end of the spectrum, is it nothing to worry about? Is this whole thing just a media hype? Please don't attack ME for anything I am writing. These are not my views, but I have heard and seen both these sides. Also: If global warming is really here, what are some ways to help, or some solutions to global warming? (Sorry that that sounds odd. I couldn't think of a better way to word it.) Anything that you have to say ABOUT THIS QUESTION is welcome, and sites are gladly accepted. Thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much.

Global warming is real and mostly caused by us. Three reasons, with solid support, most important first.
There's an overwhelming amount of peer reviewed scientific data that says that. Short and long summaries.

Science is quite good about exposing bad science or hoaxes:
http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~dst/ATG/polywater.html
There's a large number of people who agree that it is, who are not liberals, environmentalists, stupid, or conceivably part of a "conspiracy". Just four examples of many:
"I wasn’t convinced by a person or any interest group—it was the data that got me. I was utterly convinced of this connection between the burning of fossil fuels and climate change. And I was convinced that if we didn’t do something about this, we would be in deep trouble.”
Vice Admiral Richard H. Truly, USN (Ret.)
Former NASA Administrator, Shuttle Astronaut and the first Commander of the Naval Space Command
"Global warming is real, now, and it must be addressed."
Lee Scott, CEO, Wal-Mart
"Our nation has both an obligation and self-interest in facing head-on the serious environmental, economic and national security threat posed by global warming."
Senator John McCain, Republican, Arizona
“DuPont believes that action is warranted, not further debate."
Charles O. Holliday, Jr., CEO, DuPont
There's a lot less controversy about this is the real world than there is on Yahoo answers:
http://www.worldpublicopinion.org/pipa/articles/home_page/329.php?nid=&id=&pnt=329&lb=hmpg1
And vastly less controversy in the scientific community than you might guess from the few skeptics talked about here:

"Is it something to stress over every day?"
- No
"Is it going to kill us all?"
- Not right now, but in the long run, yes.
"Or, on the opposite end of the spectrum, is it nothing to worry about?"
- It's good to be prepared for the future. But from what I've read, we're already at "danger zone". So it is something to worry about, but not something that you should carry over your shoulder every single day 'cos there are more significant things to worry over.
"Is this whole thing just a media hype?"
- I doubt it. I believe it's the truth.
"If global warming is really here, what are some ways to help, or some solutions to global warming?"
- Recycle, cut down energy consumption, use earth-friendly products etc.

The best way to evaluate a theory is to make predictions based on that theory. If the predictions prove correct, then the theory is valid.
Current climatic conditions are VERY consistent with predictions scientists have been making for years on the effect of excess release of CO2 into our athmosphere.
Those who dispute the GW theory, do not understand the amount of man-made gases that are being released. Human's contribution to greenhouse gasses is the equivalent of having a Mount St. Helen's eruption each and every day of the year.
The bigger concern is that we have set certain 'flywheel' effects into motion that we cannot stop. For instance, much CO2 is trapped in the frozen tundra is Russia. Increased global temperatures are causing the tundra to 'melt', which releases more CO2, which then causes the tundra to melt faster etc. Same thing with melting ice masses. The dark ocean traps more heat than the white ice, so as more ice caps melt, the warmer it gets, etc.
Global warming will not 'kill us all', although the prolonged warm season is expected to give rise to more insect and parasitic populations which will create an drastic increase of infectious diseases that will prove very fatal to under developed countries.
Not all of the effects, however, will be negative. As the food producing regions in the US become partched desserts, Russian plains will become more agriculturally productive. Good for them, bad for us.
But in all, it's a pretty grim picture. The effects of global warming are all ready well underway. We cannot avoid them, BUT we can lessen their affects. The good news is that technology already exists that can reduce and eliminate our need for fossil fuels. The US is behind in this effort due to the Oil, Coal and Gas industries' influence over the republican party.
Do a government search on United States Government environmental issues epa. They have a website that will give you much more information than you really want to hear.

Basically everyone in the world has realised that human caused pollution is causing serious global warming except for Americans who are too busy driving to the local shop in their air conditioned jeeps to notice the world around them is changing, perhaps irreversibly.
