Fear is knowing what you must do but don't do it because you believe the consequence of your action will harm you, most usually in a physical way.

Fear deters people. Prevents their freedom of expression yet in times it restrains them from doing something wrong. In certain ways however it has also worked as a motivator. Fear of Death for instance has encouraged man to progress with medicine. Or fuelled the desire to create beautiful things, so that life is enjoyable.

I could go on forever, well, here's a few tidbits. Hope they help.

FEAR means false evidence appearing to be real-- fear prevents people from being what they could be and even doing what they ought to do to be the best they ought to be. In short fear prevents progress

for me, fear=challenge - all it means is that i have something that i have to do; which usually means doing something that i dont want to do. i try to let fear be an opportunity to grow, i try to meet my fear head on; it doesnt always work this way though. i do know that the best way to deal with fear is to face it and not back down from it.

Misapprehension of the stimuli that you perceive and reacting to it from a sense of self-cherishment (or "self-preservation" as it would be called psychologically), in some combination of the 2. Taken to an unhealthy level unbalances the mind and the person physically as a whole.

To me fear is a life without Christ.

If you die without accepting Christ as your personal Lord and savior you will be damned to an eternal hell. That's fear

After close examination, the only fear that has tried to grip me is the horrible thought that Jesus will disappear forever.
My faith in God is to the point where I fear nothing BUT HIM.
So without him, it would be hell forever.
