the sleeping metabolic rate is lower than the resting metabolic rate. take your BMR / 24 hours and that's how many calories "you" burn an hour.

for the most part the more lean a person is the less the difference between the sleeping and resting metabolic rate

Ive read somewhere that its more around 61 cals per hour, but it depends on how much you weigh, etc.

the average is 50 cals/hour
