Many people are leaving the religion of Christianity in droves and converting to either Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, or even many different forms of Paganism. Nobody really knows for sure however.

The fastest growing belief system is really secular humanism. It isn't a religion rather the rejection of religion.
Christians and Muslims continually argue over who is taking the most from each other, when in reality a far greater amount of people are rejecting both.
Religions have a harder time convincing humanists to join up because humanists typically require tangible evidence over Faith in order to change.
The statement that Atheists are joining Christianity in droves is a 'feeling state' that just isn't supported by numbers. If it was true, Christians wouldn't be fighting so passionately over teaching Evolution in schools. It wouldn't be an issue if Atheists were converting to Christianity in great numbers.

Generally, most people don't leave the faith into which they were born. So, I guess it's which faith has the most people being born into it? This is a big reason the Catholics don't approve of birth control: it keeps their numbers up.

Growth rate figures don't always tell the correct story and so much of the times information is given out re growth rate.
If you have one member and add one more that is a 100% growth rate. If you have a 1,000,000 members and had 500,000 that is 50% growth rate.
