I am very curious to know why glasses seem to make men take no notice of a woman- even one who is really attractive behind them. Any ideas? Thanks.

I got the idea based on the differences when I wear them and when I don't.

If I had a quid for every time I took my glasses off and a man said to me 'God, you have gorgeous eyes' I would live in a mansion! (Not being big headed, it does not happen that often) I have no idea what it is about glasses either! x

You most definitely need a new pair of glasses if you think that's the case.
Glasses that really compliment your looks will make you the first person who gets noticed. Bad glasses and people may not pay you much attention. Think of it the same way women quite often comment on a mans shoes. With glasses being such an obvious first impression you have to get it right.

Well it all depends on what type of glasses you are wearing. If you are not wearing glasses that are attractive or trendy then I find that guys don't look at you as much. Right now the thick plastic glasses seem to still be in style.
I wear glasses and I get plenty of attention. Maybe it is the style of glasses you are wearing...

Well the secretary thing been answered by your friends so that sorta takes one answer away , my second answer is well some women suit them -A LOT ...and some dont .
Think its got a lot to do with the eyes , if they nice eyes they will still be nice eyes behind glasses .....or maybe im completely wrong .

I'm a good looking woman and I'm used to getting attention from men. I started wearing glasses about one year ago and since then I haven't noticed a change in the attention I receive.
If anything, they make me look sexier. My friends commented at first about how I looked like a sexy secretary!

1) Its depend on the guy.
2) style of the glasses she wear (frame)
Those are the only two ideals I had to offer you. Some glasses add to the woman attractive, that is my opinion. If you seen the movie Love potion #9. Where Sandra Bullock play a nerd with glasses. I found her to be more attractive with her glasses on than off. When I see a her with glasses on and found her attractive (to me) I will speak to her. That is me!!
you're welcome!

Glasses look sexy on some women, so I don't know where you got that idea from. No, it's wedding rings that make women invisible to men (just watch the latest season of Scrubs for proof).

I wear glasses sometimes and everyone including guys are the same around me. I get noticed and flirted with even with my glasses. Is frame and shape right for the wearer? Becuase mine are the color and shape that practically look like I'm not even wearing them. Sometimes the wrong frame makes someone look bad even though he/she is very attractive. That's my thought, though.

Maybe it's just your perception, or maybe you're expecting this kind of drop-off in attention because you're wearing glasses and it's becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy.
I got new glasses in October and I think they look so good on me that I wear them more often than I did my previous pair. I have definitely not noticed a drop-off in attention. If anything, I get more.
Is it possible that you got glasses that don't suit you or make you feel attractive?

Hmmm I guess it depends on the guy really and his preference. I'm a Receptionist and sometimes wear glasses for reading very small print but I stopped wearing them after our company driver told me that I looked smoking hot in them.... I really am not attracted to the guy so why should I lead him on right...besides I can see perfectly without them...all that is to say it really does depend on the guy.
