My dad had a dream about the devil wanting him to stay in bed, but Jesus was saying, get up and look out the window. It was late at night. He faught to get up and when he looked out the window, he saw a man with a crowbar walking up the steps, to open our door. He called the police who caught him- the man was a wanted serial rapist.

I totally believe that your dad was spoken to by God in that dream. God protected you and your family. For those who think it was not God- that is fine- but I believe beyond a shadow of a doubt- GOD STILL SPEAKS!!!!!!!!!!! Praise Him!!

Oh, well, I mean OBVIOUSLY! There's no other possible explanation. Nobody wakes up without God causing it, and dreams about gods and devils are always divinely inspired.

And looking out of the window! That's a sign, definitely. Is it not written that Jesus once looked out of a window? So there you are, then! What other reason could there possibly be?

I suppose that the reason God didn't just stop the guy himself, or call 911, is that he was moving in a mysterious way again. Ooh, that God! He's such a kidder!

Wow did that really happen?
Yes I believe it was God!
God can speak to us at anytime! Even through dreams, and that is awesome, what a mighty and awesome God we have!
I have had thoughts like that as I am in bed, to go check on the door, and when I do it was unlocked, even when I thought I locked it. I know it is the Holy Spirit telling me to check again- because it is this persistent feeling I have...that still small voice, which I know I need to ALWAYS listen to!

If it was God at work, then why did he wait until the felon was a serial rapist? Why did multiple women have to suffer before God would act?

Come to that, why did the felon not have a heart attack when chasing his first victim?

So your dad almost got raped..... the little devil inside him wanted to lay in bed & let it happen...... While the little jesus inside him thought it might be painful.

Sounds like a lame story to prove a point if you ask me! If this story is true...... your dad may have misinterpretted details of his dreams based on his own beliefs. Who he believed to be satan could've just been a family member painted in red..... and the person he believed to be jesus could've been will ferrel with a beard...... the dream itself could've just been a fabrication of his unconscious mind because he heard something while in his sleep that triggered him to wake up & look out the window. Hardly god at work.... more like your dad's over-active unconscious mind.

Yes: He would have been in trouble if he would had listened to the Devil.

nope. i implanted a radio tranceiver chip in your dad's brain. whenever i press a button, it wakes him up through an injection of acetylcholine into the hippocampus.

i was outside your dad's window, passed out on whiskey when i heard an intruder approaching. i panicked, and pressed the button, for my own safety.

Absolutely this was God. Give Him all the glory for it. Don't let others let you think you are silly for thinking so, either.

That was your Dad's intuitive side protecting him and the family from harm. Where does intuition come from? I can't answer that.
