I am sure every man that does it will have some creative answer to justify his behavior. Truth of the matter is that those who do it are just lowlifes. No two ways about it! If I felt the desire to cheat, I would realize that there is something wrong with my relationship and get out of it.

First, you must be aware that the sex-drive in a male is much stronger than that of the female; you can observe most animal species and confirm this. It's true that men aren't animals, but the drive is still there, and it's subconscious. Also, many men seek constant reinforcement of their "man-hood," and believe that sexual conquest is the way to measure that. This also is a subconscious drive. Women with only average or below average sex drives are asking for heartache when they enter relationships with these types of men.

Most men that i know cheat in one way or another. Most guys crave a variety of women. I love my wife and I do not cheat, but it is a constant battle to not cheat. I mean, it is nearly impossible to ignore a good looking woman. The truth is most men love their wives and girlfriends and love them with all their heart, but cheating is a sexual thing. It gives men a high and makes us feel young. There are many reasons for cheating, but i believe it is mostly physical and wanting to get some "strange" as we call it. Like I said, men like a variety of women. Out of all of my friends, I am the only one that doesn't cheat, but trust me , I am tempted.

Now for a mature answer from another woman. Here's what I think:

If he cheats, he may just be addicted to that "new love" feeling or to the chasing or being chased. If this is his maturity level, you are better off without him....because it isn't likely that it will change. He has a low self-esteem also. He isn't able to see the situation through your eyes either....guaranteed. He may say he's sorry, but he's only sorry he got caught. Also, if he cheats, he isn't that in to you....Read the book! By Greg Berhendt..."He just isn't that in to you"....something like that. It's a great book. Believe me....THERE IS A MAN OUT THERE THAT WILL BE MORE THAN WILLING TO BE FAITHFUL TO YOU!!!! You are WORTH IT!!! Move on!!! :-) (Once you take this sort of disrespect, he will think it's ok to do again. Don't be a doormat!)

It can be different for different situations. Some men are naturally unfaithful and have no qualms about sleeping with other women. Sometimes men do it when they fall out of love. Some do it because they want kinds of s@x that they're not getting at home.

i've heard it said that men are only as faithful as their options....

Women cheat, too. B/c they are unhappy in their relationships and/or they don't know or care about what committment really is, means, or looks like.
