1- I cannot seem to have anything in common with this man
2- There is no chemistry on my side of the equation
3- I am not that attracted to him physically
4- I am biased against his profession (this, I admit is unfair)

Why waste your time or theirs? If you are not into them for whatever reason, just be straight with them about having nothing in common so you are both free to date people who you both are more compatible with.
Worst case scenario if you keep seeing the guy just because it is convenient for you is you end up getting love jones for him when you know he is wrong for you, yet staying because you feel obligated, not because you love him, which is not fair to either of you.

If you truly hand on heart feel this than why would you want to go out on a second date! On the other hand if a part of you is unsure why not you never know the first date may have been a flop because of nerves the second date might blow you away

There is not rule against going on dates with someone even if you don't think it is going anywhere. I have heard a lot of couples say that they were not interested in the other person at first but then one day WHAM!

I really see no reason why it would be unethical, granted he may seem like a disease NOW but over time you may never know. He just might grow on you...only time will tell. patience is a virtue of course.

ethical? If you go on a second date and tell him that you just want to go on dates with him, and you don't have any intentions on things spicing up then I guess not.

Um, then why would you WANT to go the date? Just for the free food? I mean it's not unethical, it's just pointless. Good luck.

i would! first dates are horrible, people are never at their prime, at least in my experience, give him one more chance, and if you feel the same way, talk to him, he may feel the same way!
what if he was having a bad night and he is your ONE!! would you want to miss out on it, i mean, it's only one date, take the chance!
you never know............
