If you really want to know. I'll tell you. Otherwise, I just wasted a lot of time.

We lived with our Heavenly Father before we came to earth. Our entire eternal existance is based on our progression to be like Him. We progressed as far as we could at the time, so He revealed His plan to us (The council in heaven). We were to come to earth and be tested and gain a physical body. We were to have free agency to make our own decisions (or else it wouldn't be much of a test).
However, He knew that this would introduce sin into the world, so His plan included a Savior that would atone for the sins of man so we could once again return to His presence one day (God can have no sin near Him).
Lucifer volunteered and said, I will be the one, send me, I will make sure all will return to you, for I will take away their agency. But since I will do it, give me thine glory. Jesus volunteered and said, send me, and Thy will be done. This started the war in heaven and Lucifer was cast out for rebellion. He took 1/3 of the hosts of heaven with him (they agreed with him). Therefore, Satan and his followers will never have the opportunity to gain a physical body (which is why they can possess ours). But since he has no body, we are actually stronger than Satan. He is allowed to tempt us, but never so much that we cannot resist. It is our choice to follow his temptings. This is the way our faith is tested. Our purpose is to succeed. We are to multiply and replenish the earth. And we are to do so under God's rules. We will die, then be resurrected, judged, and hopefully return to our Heavenly Father's presence and continue our progression.

I'm sure this will in no way be a good answer to many who will read it, but it is the truth. I'm not answering for points, I'm answering because I learned this truth and want to share it with others.

Yes! We are here to have sex and make more of us so as to produce FOOD for the cosmos!

Sex is always nice, but I would not consider that my purpose in life.

And it is certainly NOT why I am on R&S.
