I use Italian dressing a lot.I let it divide, then use the oil part for stir fries and regular smother frying.Great and the seasoning is already in the oil.The bottom half is for salads and marinating meats..Thanks in advance..

Don't actually punch the bread dough down, just press it until the air goes out.

Don't squeeze the meatloaf.

A pinch of cayenne in brownie or chocolate cake batter makes them so much tastier. So does adding 1oz of really dark chocolate to a big pot of chili.

Wear a glove when you cut hot peppers. It drastically cuts the chance of getting pepper oil in your eyes.

Spray your measuring spoon with PAM before measuring anything fatty or sticky, like honey or lard. Same thing with a measuring cup.

When a recipe calls for 1 Tbsp of tomato paste and you have to open a whole can, put blops of tomato paste on a sheet of wax paper and freeze it. Then take it out and put the blops in a ziplock and back in the freezer. That way you don't waste a whole can.

Shred your own cheese and freeze it. Much cheaper to buy a block and do it yourself. And cheese keeps great in the freezer. I buy a block of Parm, asiago, and Romano, and shred it all together and freeze it. Excellent flavor.

When you get celery, chop the tops off and put in a ziplock in the crisper. It makes excellent stock.

I don't know if you would call this a tip but...

don't be afraid to just throw stuff together and see what you get.....some of the best casaroles are made from left overs....for ex...if you take you left over thanks giving dinner....mix the left over gravy, potatoes, corn, and tukey up in a cassarole dish, spread the left over stuffing on the top and bake until hot....really good....there are many of these....don't be affraid to mix and match....

Worcerstershire sauce is a good marinade.

So is honey and soy.

If your pot bubbles to the top, gently blow on it.

If you put a pinch of salt in your pan, it won't spit at you.
