I'm curious to see what men's opinions are on dating women who have kids. General opinions.. In particular, independant single women who aren't looking to 'replace' their kids fathers or lay the responsibility on someone else.. I have been told (by a man of course) it would be hard to find a man because I have 2 kids, and 'men dont want kids'... I think there are plenty out there willing to open up their hearts to a woman weather they have kids or not. Its just a matter of finding the right one.

There are many guys who may feel that you're looking for a "daddy replacement" or a "sugar daddy". Those possibilities may cause them to question your dating motives. Obviously, a more mature and committed man looking for marriage will look at the children as an opportunity to have an instant family. If you're looking for someone who's more open to the idea of children, you may need to up your age-bracket.

You are tottally right there tons of men out there that would not mind dating a woman with kids. I personally would not date a woman with kids but then again I am 23 and still selfish enough where I don't want to split attention. Every guy is different. Don't let it get you down.

You're right. It's just a matter of time before you find someone who'll love you no matter what. I'm a guy and if I'm attracted to someone I'm going to be attracted to who the person is, not if they have children or not. If the woman has children fine, if she doesn't that's fine too. You fall in love with the person for who they are. It's as simple as that. So keep looking, you'll find someone.

There are plenty of men out there that would be more then happy to be with a women that has kids and they are not looking to replace their father......i wouldn't care if i was dating a women with kids....well as long as they are not spoiled brats

I married a woman with a kid. I love them! We now have his, hers, and ours. --- I would agree that stereotypically men would rather her not have kids, but its not always that way. Might have something to do with where you are looking for men. The party animal at the pub that goes out every night probably isn't wanting kids!

I have never had a problem dating women with kids. Everyone has a past. Sounds like your friend was just talking about his own preference.

Just like any other characteristic... just keep your eyes peeled for eligible men who aren't fazed by it and are willing to embrace this part of you.

i had said i did not want to date a lady with children --- ive raised my family ---- yet i have dated and would have kept dating a lady with children so it all depends on the lady and the chemistry ---- i would even be prepared to start a new family if that was my ladies wish
