I have a 97 Dodge Grand Caravan that has a Radio/CD player that suddenly, without warning, went dead. I have checked for broken fuses and that is not the problem. I have checked the electrical connection of the stereo and it is good. What else could cause a radio to suddenly have no power? Would the radio itself just have gone bad?

The cd player/radio could of just went to hell, how long have you had it? Do you have a amp hooked up or subs? Have you checked the connection to the battery? If its not a loose connection you fryed your radio.

Get a multimeter, or a circuit tester light, and see if there's 12 volts going to the radio. If there is, I'd say it's a fair bet the radio is toast.

it's either blown an in line fuse or one in the fuse box. look to see if you have lost power to anything else, ie cig lighter/ interior light etc. if you have, go to the fuse box. if not look for an in line fuse. good luck.

it could be the circuit breaker or the spark plug getting into the frequency. Pay me 1000000 to fix it.
