My scrotum is red?

I've noticed that my scrotum is red in color and NOT baggy at all. I got tested for basic STDs approx. two years ago and only had sex one time after that - with a condom. I'm wondering what could cause the redness. It also itches at times.

Could the skin just be irritated from very long showers?

I am more concerned about your comment that your scrotum is "NOT baggy" at all. This could be indicative of an inguinal hernia. Please see your doctor just to be sure that things are well. If you have a hernia, it will need prompt treatment in order to prevent complications. If you don't have a hernia, at least you will know what it going on.
