good subject for painting for little kids and children about 4 to 13?

Friendship is a good subject but most younger children are either interested in, or more comfortable doing animals or marine life. Jungles are a big plus and undersea and when I taught classes,at elementary level,which were time-lined to art history-PopArt set off a big cheer for some reason. Flowers,Andy Warhol,I let them watch "yellow Submarine" with the Beatles of course as they were working. I think it was the colors etc. Try looking up Kinderart.com and other childrens art sites. Those should get you cookin! Have fun.

With a Good cause? Relationships or Facts.
a) Relationships are a good topic because they can feel them in your work, friendship, family ties, conflict, all the emotions reflected in your paint would make them feel the paint indeed.
b) Facts. The facts of life, the sun in your face, the different scales of the living things, the complexities of the universe, things that painted funny could bring them knowledge or at least make them paint.

Just to decorate their habitat? Animals or Jobs.
a) Animals make a lot of funny, their are great decoration (Lascaux, Altamira caves are examples :) ) They can make them dream, if they are exotic or make company if the animal is the one whom they feel attached to. Also they can learn something through your paint.
b) People working, like firemen, policemen, gardeners, sport players, architect, even painters, etc are a beautiful and original theme, even they can dream a lot and play with them to think the story of the character.

Abstract painting.

Ok the term is not the best to use when bringing it to them but expressing themselves anyway they can, using favorite colors and shapes is very big fun.
