Christians believe in objective truth. At least all of the Christians I have met believe this. This means that there is truth that is not subject to our opinion or our ability to understand it. It is something that stands on its own and is not reliant on us for anything. Christians believe that the truth still stands, whether people recognize it or not. Some people call it absolute truth. The idea is that there is a standard that is immovable and irrevocable. I am saying that this is what Christians believe. I am not trying to make a statement that this is, or is not, correct

So, now hopefully I have made it a little clearer what it is that I am thinking about. Now what it is that I would like to know is this.

Are there any persons here who are not Christians AND who also believe in objective truth (or absolute truth).

I am not a Christian, and I believe in conditional absolute truth, especially about the past.

It is absolutely true I am answering this question, not subjectively true.

The truth is the word of GOD the bible.Everything mentioned in the bible is truth. Its the word of GOD which wont change.

Well whats truth to u might not be truth to u.

Read matthew 5:21-22 u will know why u might think is ok isnt ok with GOD.

So u see the word of GOD is true nothing else.

GOD loves u so much that he sent his son JESUS to die for u to reconcile u back.

John 3:16 says "For GOD so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoso ever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life".Ask JESUS to come into your heart and forgive ur sins and cleanse ur past with his blood.

With a simple prayer like above u can be saved. When u have a relationship with GOD u will understand things more GOD point of view. Then u will know the true truth.

We still have definition problem here, I believe.

It is an objective and absolute truth that if you put 2 atoms of hydrogen together with 1 atom of oxygen, you will get water.

absolute truth i do not believe in, i think that every statement that is rich enough to mean something contains enough obscure elements and there is the space to play, i do believe that truth converges

and jumps

The objective is NOT to believe. Rather it's to "kNOW".
Ye shall know the truth: shall make you free (John 8:32)
Know-ing the truth: makes you free (of believe-ing lies).

"The truth": "grace is sufficient" (no law at all is required).
That God is light; no darkness at all in "that God": Grace.
To wit: "that God" was in "Christ": "reconciling" the world.

POINT: "Grace" is neither of twain "law"s in Mt 22: 36-40.
More Excellent: neither broadmindead nor narrowmindead.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Sure, I suppose I do. But truth is usually what the observer believes it is.
