Ive asked myself this question also. I fell in love with a man who is seventeen years older than me. At first I thought he was old enough to be my father...then as time went on I realized it doesnt matter. We love each other and the age difference is the furthest thing from our minds. We are now happily married and will be celebrating our first anniversary next month.

I dont think age is really an issue if you are in love. The only thing i would think would be a bit weird is if the girl were like 14 and the in his late 20's or so. But if the couple are both older than the legal age limit, I dont think age should matter. You will like/love who you want and theres nothing that can stop those feelings. I say go for it. Dont let anyone get you down by telling you age is a factor. Love is love, it will affect everyone, you cant stop it, you cant control it, it just happens, so go with it. Good Luck! (age difference above goes for young boy/older woman also)

As long as you are above the age of consent, whatever age difference you feel comfortable with is ok. For example, if an 18 year old girl wants to be with a 70 year old man, that's perfectly fine if both are comfortable with the age difference. And as far as I'm concerned, it doesn't matter who's the older one. I personally prefer older men. I'm currently involved with one who's 8 years older than I am.

It depends on the amount of time between each person. People often say that age is nothing but a number, but when you are young it depends on the law. From personal experience, I have dated a few older gentlemen and they treated me like a child because I had not experienced things that other women had. They often looked down on me because they are under the impression that they can mold you into what they want... that doesn't always work.

age difference isn't really a matter. age is. for example if a 17 year old were seeing an 11 year old... there'd be some objections prob 'coz the 11 year old might not know wad he or he is gedding into. But if a 45 year old got together with a 39... it don't seem too bad coz they're in the same age bracket and both are mature enough to know what they're doing.

whatever it is, make sure you go into relationships with your eyes wide open. think with your head and heart and not just with the latter.

The younger you are, the more age difference is important. Being 23, I'd rather date a man older than me because guys mature slower than girls do. I wouldn't want to date a guy that's much older than 28 at this point in my life. I've dated someone younger that me and it didn't work out, so I'd rather date someone older than me and more on my level.

I dont think it is so much the age but what age the person acts. If you have someone who is settled in their career, has a house, ect...and another person who is still in the 20 something party mode there could be issues. There defanatly is problems if one person is a minor and the other is well above the age of 18.

Age difference shouldn't be a problem, no matter which one is older, if you truly feel for each other. Love and relationships should have no boundries. Not age nor race for that matter.
Don't worry about what other people say. Listen to what your heart says!

i dont think there can ever be too much of an ge difference.

i think as long as the person is, in my opinion, 18 or over then they can date who ever they want!

unfortunately if the man is older the woman is seen as a gold digger but if a guy dates an older woman then hes a hero!!

hmm....
anyway i dont think age matters at all, if you enjoy each others company and theres a connection there whos to say that is wrong?

age is a problem you dont want to be example: an 16 year old married to a 86 year old man. the best suited age difference will be at least 2 or 3 years younger or older depends.
