Why so much violence among our young people? A Department of Education Survey which analyzed violence in U.S. schools reported that public schools nationwide experienced more than 11,000 fights in which weapons were used, 4,000 rapes and other sexual assaults and 7,000 robberies. Other reports from Time and Newsweek magazines tell us the suicide rate among U.S. teens has risen 120% in the last 15 years while drug use has risen almost 80% since 1992. The Bible tells us about a time that these kinds of violent deeds and rebellious acts will be committed by children all over the world.

How's that for a correlation?

Prayer has not left the school, it's still there. It's just not mandatory. Additionally, some of your stats are a bit off. Drug use has actually been going down since 2003, and Teen homicide, suicide, and firearm death rates declined overall from the mid- 1990s. Perhaps you need to get statistics from more reliable sources then Bible.com. It appears that Betty Miller made her statistics out of thin air.

Additionally, you and Betty fail to explain why these crimes are lower in Europe, which is a primarily secular society.

What a strange connection you make. I would rather make a connection between school shootings and easy access to guns. Here in Europe, with all our restrictions on guns, we have significantly less school shootings than you in the U.S. How's that?

(And by the way, school prayer is an alien concept to us.)

The social chaos seen today is the result of more than just removal of prayer from schools. Don't be simplistic.

It's due to availability of guns, not lack of forced prayer.

All over the world, hm?

Funny then that this trend exists solely in the USA, which is majority fundamentalist Christian.

Is that a speck in your eye or a log?

Prayer was never removed from schools; you can't just force it upon anyone anymore, thank God.

How many occurred before "In God We Trust" was added to the currency? How many before "Under God" was added to the Pledge?

Your logic needs some work.
