Why o GOD, Do You permit so big mistakes? Is it because there have been more than 40 million terrorist acts or murders or so called abortions in the last years in our country? The cost of the war is about one million dollars per minute!! Why they are using that money to destroy peace instead of helping a lot of crying people? WHY WHY? o GOD? WHY?

Unfortunately, American ignorance allowed the war to begin in the first place. The American public bought the bit about Saddam and al Queda being linked despite the fact that al Queda is Shi'ite and Saddam's Sunni government was oppressing the Shi'a and the vast majority of the American public believed that the government "must know something we don't" about the WMDs that were never found. Now, I think we probably have some responsibility to help stablize the country. I think if we left now, the violence would get worse. But I think we need to consider changiung our role to be one of peacekeeping.

It would help if you were better informed. You really seem to have a lot of emotion about things you don't even understand. That's troubling.

The fact is that about 70% think the war is not going well, but they don't want us to pull out. It doesn't mean that they don't want the war or that they think we have lost. If fact, the surge is showing to be incredibly successful.

The war itself was actually over very quickly. The problem is that these Iraqi people have been horribly oppressed for generations and are not used to being free. It will take time to help them defend themselves against terrorism.

It would be nice if you had more patience and more concern for these people instead of this immense concern on how you feel about war. I don't know why you don't care about other people over your own feelings, but that's your own personal problem.

In reality most Americans think we should've flattened the enemy and gotten out. If we'd demolished Iraq and then came in to clean up the mess it would've been easier, but a lot more innocents would have died.

So most want us to win the war, that's why it is continuing. Even the democrats won't pull our troops out because they know that like they did in Vietnam, they'll get the blame for the millions who will die when we leave.

Democracy has failed, for the exact reason the founders feared most, political parties. Notice that there is no mention of political parties in the Constitution. Nevertheless, the Democrats and Republicans are two collaborating gangs of white collar criminals who conspire to deprive the average American citizen of their Constitutional right to meaningful political representation. It is painfully obvious that the two major parties have sold out to both corporate and special interest groups and care nothing for the rights of ordinary people. It is absurd to imagine that the complexities of modern life can be properly addressed by simply choosing the lesser of two evils. Sixty percent of the American people completely abstain from participating in America's pseudo-democracy. This is because they know a vote for either party only strengthens their oppressors. America is in the grip of the righteous and the rich and nobody else even dares to protest, for fear of retribution. When a government votes itself the right to seize people's property, without so much as due process, who would dare to complain? When our country violates its own essential principles, who is really safe from tyranny? These days, when I see the American flag, all I feel is fear for the future. The war in Iraq and the war on drugs are obvious signs that an oligarchy of special interests is in control of America. The only question is, how long until the inevitable bloody revolution destroys all our ancestors have worked to create?

The American forces are not waging war on Iraq. They are there to help protect the Iraqi people and the democratically-elected Iraqi government.

Governments are elected at regular intervals. If people in America disagree with the policies of Bush, they are free to elect someone with different policies next time. This is democracy. But people do not have the right to dictate policies to the government when that government is already in power. If 70% of the people of America disagree, they can choose a pacifist person during the next election, but they cannot force the President to leave Iraq now. If they could do that, that would be anarchy, not democracy.

Dear Paul, where did you get your statistics from, the pollsters at CNN?
I live in a rural state (Maine) that is controlled by liberals who use almost all of the states tax revenue to buy the welfare vote and all I see is losers complaining that the money spent in Iraq could be spent on them. Most of the people I work with who actually earn their own living instead of living on other peoples tax dollars tend to support the war.

Because only the President runs the Military and Bush has 20 more months to do it.

Thems the rules, like or not.

And at this point I'm in favor of keeping stability into a country we destablized. At least to the point where it's like Lebanon.

I agree with you. America lets get out of Iraq and let those idiots kill one another instead of our soldiers. Iraq and its people are all living in the dark ages anyway so what's the point in being there. They don't want to live in a democracy. They want to suppress human rights, suppress woman and kill each other. Let them have at it. It will be one less country for us to give our hard earned tax dollars to.

Unfortunately, I am considering they (our gift & former leaders) are all tousled! I recognize no convenient resolution however we simply can not play by means of the "laws" anymore while nobody else does & that is what will get our butts kicked. We begin to do anything & do not conclude it. I believe the United Nations stinks! They are all corrupt & it is time for the elemental individual to be ready to be within the management seat. Someone with out a connection to grease, or any one no longer watching to kick butt to make dad think larger. We do & will continually have got to keep steps forward of the nut case terrorists & guard our land & folks. The exchange towers used to be an act of warfare so we did have the location to look after ourself. It used to be now not "anticipation of self-security"!

It is true that this war is like a modern Vietnam, in a sense that we cannot afford to pull out, we can only increase the force of our troops....and we do help crying people, the news just doesnt show you that, they just want the people to have a negative association with the military....My cousin is in the Army, and another cousin in the Navy. If you want proof that we help people, just message me and I'd be glad to prove it to you...But no one wants this war, believe me, i would love to have my cousins come home...

Democracy has been a lie for a long time. Yes most Americans don't want this war yet the President ignores this fact. Why? Cause he is one of the horsemen spoken of in Revelation. Not hard to figure out his color.

Think its bad now... wait till near the end of his term. I personally see a massive attack on the USA at this time. In turn allowing him to claim martial law, patriot act II, new draft bill and to stay in power claiming he is the only one that understands terrorism.
