well son or daughter, some may say half - orphan.... in any case people would call him/her "poor little baby" as it´s so sad loosing your dad before even being born...
Just one thing to the lady above: Nobody should have the right to call another human being a "bastard".
We all know that this word exists, but living in the 21st century I always thought that people have learnt a little from history...
children are children and all children should have the right to enjoy a happy childhood, no matter who our parents are...
My colleague just had a baby and she is not married, just living with her boy friend... do you think anybody should have the right to call her baby a "bastard"???

Child!!
If unfortunately child is born 'n' later his/her parents die, then child might be called as an orphan, but i think child should not be called that as well.
