My son does not want to do ANYTHING on his own.He has photosensitivity epilepsy and was on very strong medication and had 1 very bad grand mal fit.He was hospitilized for 2 weeks.Since then he has been acting weird. He would not let my husband go out when it is dark,or we would give him the option to come with but he has a phobie for driving in cars, especially on highways. He NEVER goes out to movies and hasn't got any friends.I am really battling with him, since he is the youngest of 4 children, and all my other children is over 20 and moved out of the house. He would get panic attacks a lot ,and this would leave him out of breath and sometimes I would rush him to hospital and they would only give him a calming pill.Has anyone got a similar problem or know what he has?I am desperate for any help on this.Thank you Linda

It sounds like he is a very upset and scared boy.

It might help if you could ask one of his brothers to come round and see if they can both do something like go in the garden and start from there.

It maybe and idea to speak to a counsellor as he seems to have had a major trauma that has made him like this. Getting an outsider to speak with him does help sometimes as he may feel he doesnt want to own up to you as he may feel stupid.

Plus he is 13 and his horemones will be going nuts now

Linda - take a deep breath and go sit in the sun and soak in the energy....Blessings Ive been there )nearly(
lived 12yrs with partner who suffered
I don't know where you live. But some of the major hospitals
have clinics for this....Anxiety Disorder ck them out there are
many different causes and levels of the disorder.
There are also private practitioners that deal with it in clinical settings....
Regardless of the cause the result is AD and it is impossible
for people to continue on in life with their excessive fear. They
require long term out paitent help, but it is able to be over come or improved greatly...NO CURRED must think positive.

Linda i think also your elder sons should be playing a much closer roll to him you have a very sick lad on your hands and you need all the help you can get and mostly it can come from your own family so come on you elder brothers get this little brother of your back to a normal life or otherwise you Ma will be the next one needing help so come on they are the most important people to you /// ..your own family is precious

Have you gone and seen a councler? That would be the best thing to do. There are other kids like him out there he isnt alone. You should find one of the best counselers for you son and see what they advise. There may not be a cure but mynay people have phobias like that and its hard to get over its just like being scared of the dark but its at an advance stage. Please let me know what happens.

from the details you've given it seems he may have developed a case of agoraphobia. does he get panicked if he has to leave the house? a friend of mine used to suffer from panic attacks, he was house bound for a a fair few years, but after some counselling he's getting back on his feet and is able to leave th house without suffering to much. good luck

I would look into Chemical related allergy triggers, maybe some vitamin deficiency,or poor diet. A very good clinic is given below-
they could check for things your doctor maybe has maybe missed.
Your GP may refer you or you could go private. Its well worth a try,at least.
