My 2 yr old American Bulldog is losing his hair (two large patches). Why? What causes this?

One patch on each side - this is not the area he lays on. He seems otherwise "normal", happy, playful, eating. He does not itch it nor does it seem to bother him.

It could be:

+allergy (inc. flea allergic dermatitis)
+ mange (there is a non-itchy type)
+ generalised dermatitis
+ skin infection

..... in that order of likelihood I would say. Get him looked at by a vet, as no one on here can possibly tell you what it is.
