crucifix is man invention before the time of Jesus, It was designed for many purposes. There are many types of crucifix for various purposes and reason. It is an emblem too by some religious people.

According to the majority, crucifix was the symbol of christianity because Jesus died on it, however, if Jesus died by the sword, then the sword would be the symbol of christianity? Well, Jesus is the symbol of christianity notthe cross.

Since God did not commission the crucifix, it would not really matter to him in the least. How would you feel if someone stabbed and killed your son, and then everyone duplicated and touted the weapon that was used to kill him. Wouldn't you prefer that it get thrown away, rather than constantly flaunted in your face? So please, feel free to throw them or it away.

A crucifix or cross has no power of itself. It's just a piece of wood, metal, plastic, etc.
