My left ear just slightly hurts and I was wondering if there is any over the counter medicine I can take. I was just at the ear doctor 2 weeks ago and got my ears cleaned out and he said then nothing was wrong with my ears (it didn't hurt then either). So do you think from having them cleaned that might have something to do with why my ear is sensitive feeling now?

After you annoy the inside of the ear it will be a little inflammed. Try advil or tylenol. If there is some moisture in your ear you can try some sinus medication called pseudoephedrine (thats the medicine that you now have to get from behind the pharmacist counter but is still techincally over the counter medication) and that will dry out any excess moisture. If it continues tell your doc and he can give you some ear drops.

It's possible the cleaning could cause some discomfort afterwards, the inside of the ear is a very sensitive area . Try taking an over the counter medication for inflammations such as Advil three times a day and see if this stops the pain. If it doesn't contact the ear doctor and see what else can be done.

I use Similasan Healthy Relief Earache Relief. It cost about 10.00 a bottle, but it helps. Just don't let you earache go longer than a week.

He could have bruised it - try motrin
and call them and ask them personally I do not want you sticking anything in there. Since you are a patient it is their duty to be there for you (even over the phone).
