is erased from our soul. My question is -- can Satan remember our forgiven sins? He thrives on our weaknesses, so once we give into the temptation he sets before us, he continues to throw that sin infront of us. But if we seek forgiveness from God, can Satan still use that against us?

And is there any Biblical reference to this? Thanks!

P.S. Obviously this question is directed to Christians. If you don't believe, please don't give me your opinion. I'd appreciate that for once. Thanks.

Absolutely. And Satan uses them against us on a regular basis.

Ephesians 6:13-18, talks about putting on the whole armor of God, especially verse 16 where it talks about the fiery darts of the wicked.

To me, the fiery darts refer to attacks that are intended to destroy your faith, like Atheistphilosopher - the second answer. When anyone tries to destroy your faith, they are serving Satan, whether they acknowledge that he exists or not. Usually, Satan's best method of attack is by another mortal person. The defense against those attacks are:

Loin protector of Truth
Breastplate of Righteousness
Shoe of Preparation of the gospel of peace
Above all, the Shield of Faith - against the darts of the wicked
Helmet of Salvation
Sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God
Prayer always

Remember the sweet peace that came when you knew you were forgiven! The things that Satan can never give his followers are peace and love.

And, write down your feelings when you are helped by the Holy Spirit. You will be reminded of the wonderful experiences that you have had from the Lord.

Most definitely.
Satan attacks over and over again without let up. He knows that he only has a short amount of time to turn us away from doing right, so he uses that time to work up plenty of machinations and devices.

Satan knows what makes us weak by how we react to what he tries us with. If we don't put our trust in God, we'd be hopeless. But having a strong faith in God and knowing that he will remove those pitfalls from before us, we'll get through it. Remember, God does not let us be tempted beyond what we can bear. So he will always provide a way out.

Yes ,the bible calls him our accuser. He likes to remind us of our pass sins in order to make us believe that we are not forgiven. I know that you have heard this, but the best weapon that we have against him in this case is to remember to forgive ourselves. REV12:10 dont forget God can do anything within His character, and he can choose to forget if He wishes.

Only way to truly forgive sin is abolish the law.
All other 'theories' are a mission impossible:
Eg: Romans 9:31: Jews tried and all failed.
For "blasphemy the Ghost" is unpardonable.
Everyone has done it, said the Law is unfair.

Child: it's not fair.
Parent: I know it's not fair, but it's the law.

God hath forgiven(past tense) you for Christ's sake.
Christ is our peace, who "abolished the law": Eph 2.
Christ is the end of the law, the Saviour of the world.
To wit, that God was in "Christ" reconciling the world.
(perhaps that God wasn't in Jesus alienting the world)

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus->Christ with you->all. Amen.

Yes, Satan tries to make us feel like we can't be forgiven by waving our mistakes in front of our face. If we have truly repented then we need to forgive ourselves also.

There are several Scipture references to this... I'm not sure about the Bible though.

Have a great day! :)

Satan is an accuser and a deceiver. He will use your past sins to make you think that you are not forgiven, to stir up feelings of guilt, doubt, and fear. We can protect our self from these "fiery darts" by our shield of faith. Ephesians 6:10-17

1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

You can also use scripture against him, stating who you are in Christ. It's a great bible study to reassure yourself as well. For example:

Romans 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ...

Romans 8:1,2 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

2 Cor 1:21,22 Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God, who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.

Eph 1:3-7 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him In love. He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace..

Col 1:9-14 ...be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light.
For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Hope you find these helpful.... God bless.

How can you ask/answer these questions with a straight face, I mean come on, Satan? Do you really believe there is some crazy demon out there telling you to do bad things? Do you know how cornball that sounds?
