but I work from 18:00 til 03:00 most evenings (sitting at a desk). What are the best times to eat and what time should be my last meal or snack?

it doesnt matter what time of the day you eat as long as you dont go over your daily calories.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

Hi I would suggest you have a meal before you go to work and a healthy snack or light meal during the night when you have a break. Whilst sitting at the desk you could always try marching on the spot to see if it helps. Good luck with the weight loss.

You should never skip breakfast even if you can't eat it at home. Always have a light healthy lunch and eat your evening meal as early in the evening as possible, never before bed. If you feel like snacking get in the habit of having healthy options at hand, fruit etc. Of course you should have a treat now and again but don't over do it! Try having smaller potions on a smaller plate than usual it's amazing how this can trick your brain into thinking your eating more! Of course exercise is important however much you can manage. Drink lots and lots of water! Good luck you can do it!!

I would suggest a cleansing diet. I lost 12 pounds in 9 days and then 28 pounds in less than a month. I also lost a lot of inches too! I learned that cleansing will help the body get rid of toxins. Toxins come from a lot of things like fast food, pollution, food additives and preservatives and lots of other things. The toxins get stored in the fat in our body. To get rid of the fat, we have to get rid of the toxins by cleansing the body. This made sense to me and I decided to try a cleanse program and it worked. The weight came off fast and this kept me motivated to keep going, not like other diets where the weight loss it too slow. I did Jenny Craig, and Medifast. If you want to learn more call the toll free number 1-877-587-4647 or check out the website. This was the first time I ever did a cleanse, it was easy and I feel better. Good luck whatever you decide to do! http://thebestcleansingdiet.com

Try Slimming World! You can eat as much as you want of certain foods and there is no cut off point when you need to stop eating before you go to bed. I know people who get up for a snack in the middle of the night and still lose weight. Try looking at the following link as they give you a free week eating plan so you can see the sort of things you can eat.

Good luck x

If you are trying to losse weight then try eating 3 portions of food aday and make them healthy i.e_morning:some musselie cereal or some toast...lunch:a salad with what ever yhoo want in it as long as its healthy or some sandwhiches ....:dinner:anything yhoo want but make it a smaller portion than you would usually take but make sure its healthy but on the other hand you could go on the " atkins diet" i found it to be working for me but it is difficult for the first week or so but your body get use to the system its working at but make sure your doing exercise even if your at your work if the work has stairs go up and down them a few times evry day and you'll start dropping the weight or if none of these work try going to a diet doctor for some advise

( good luck)

First off NEVER eat less than 2 hours before bed. That's a big no, no. Don't drink pop, soda promotes weight gain. I know this sounds sill, but I do it, and my (Nurse) sister in law has been doing it for years. Eat something every 2 hours, (not always a meal). It forces your body to work and you lose calories and speed up motabolism. Yogurt is a great addition to your eating, it has calcium which promotes weight loss. (NO Lite yogurt!). My sis n law has the same hours as you and I've never seen her overweight the whole 13 years I've known her. Good luck and don't be in a hurry to lose, and don't Not eat. When you don't eat your body has nothing to digest, thus slowing your metabolism.

You should eat eggs in the morning. Apparently, they put your hunger off longer. I wouldn't eat carbs past 6 and I'd definitely look into getting a gym membership for after work.

Overall though, the carbs turn into fat if you overindulge. Maybe, think about that for your meals as well as overall portion sizes.
