Last night on "The Tonight Show, with Jay Leno",,,,,,,,Bill Mayer quoted Eighnstien(mis spelled),,,,,as saying that if the bees go away, then humans have four years left to survive. Keep in mind that it is the bees that polinate every plant. It all has to do with the food chain from the least animal all the way to human food chains.

Serious.

I'm not sure the "Einstein quote" is anything but an Internet legend. But it is a fact that certain agricultural plants can only be pollinated by bees, and that losing them would drastically affect the ecology. We won't all starve to death, but it just can't be good.

You mean Bill Maher and since he's not a scientist but a comedian, I wouldn't worry too much about him. I had bees all over my yard yesterday. Other insects, birds and the wind also spread pollen. There aren't as many bees in the worl as there are flowers. Otherwise we'd be in a sea of them

Very serious but the explanation that the cell phones cause it is just wrong. I have worked around Radio frequencies for 56 years and Even been radiated till it blacked my eyes . The small power of cell phones is stupid the Local TV station would be much more likely . Need to get serious about searching for the problem ,and it is not Cell phones.

he was referencing "the food chain" , it was a metaphor for freedom of speech and Don Imus losing his job, . If we stand by and let them start to censor media in this country, first it will be the little things we don't mind or notice, but eventually they'll censor everything. This isn't MY point of view entirely, but I see his point. Go to NBC .com and you can see the interview. By the way, there has been no decrease in bees , literally bees, so don't sweat it.

That's stupid, not all plants are pollinated by bees, and bees are nowhere near extinction anyway.
