Hi, well yes I feel for you, been in the same place before.
If you want the thing to heal fast you need to get a cup of warm water as warm as you can handle (make sure its too hot or it could burn u), add to this a teaspoon of salt and stir to dissolve. Swish this around in your mouth holding each mouthful in your mouth for at least 10 seconds. Repeat in the morning and after all meals.
Now before you go to bed make sure you do the above, and then - this part sounds painful but it only lasts a few seconds - take some dry salt on your finger and press it into the mouth ulcer rinse with cold water.
Also take a tea bag and make a cup of tea (save this tea bag on a clean plate for later) no sugar no milk - then swish this around in your mouth put the tea bag in the fridge or freezer for 5 minutes or while you have your cup of tea - later when its cold, (not frozen) squeeze out water and apply directly to the ulcer - alternatively you could soak cotton ball inthe tean and hold it on there.
If you happen to have colloidial silver rinse your mouth with this.
For pain relief options;
Avoid using toothpaste - just use the smallest smear of it if u must, dont have any tomatoes or citrus.
If you have baby teething gel (bonjela) apply this to the ulcer. If you dont have any of that try disolving as asprin in a small amount of water and swish this around the area in your mouth, swallow or spit ur choice, I spit then take panadol.
Take 2 panadol or 2 nurofen or 2 nurofen plus if u have em.
If u have non of the above apply bourbon or other spirit drink directly to the ulcer (not beer or wine).
When you get up in the morning avoid fruit juice till this heals, instead take a vitamin C tablet if you have them and swallow it fast with water to avoid touching the ulcer with it. Also take a Multivitamin if you have them, along with the vitamin C for at least 2 weeks.
Incase you havent already - if you have a tongue or lip ring remove it and forget about it, its bad for you.
Hope you feel better soon. Doctor will give you an ointment to numb it and also contains an antiseptic so nothing thats anybetter than the above that I have told you about, so dont stress that you cant see dr till tomorrow. I know it hurts now but it will be gone in 3 days if you keep the salt water treatment up after each meal. If you dont and just continue as normal it will probably take longer than a week to heal on its own (ointment from the doctor and all).

You may want to reduce the acidity level in your mouth.
Avoid spaghetti sauce, pizza sauce, tomatoes and even milk.
After you eat, you can rinse with milk of magnesia or a similar product. Your mouth won't be as sore, however, the ulcers have to run their course- 7 to 10 days.
It's tough to put anything on ulcers that are under the tongue.

To speed the healing process the vitamin L-lysine helps but for immediate relief go to the pharmacy and get a tube of zilactin OTC It is a little pricey usually under 12 dollars and it stings when u first apply but after a few seconds it makes a protective film over the area and lasts for a few hours there are other variations of this as well at pharmacy but this works best for me

Are you sure they are not genital herpes? If they are, there is no cure, Have you tried taking Tylenol, or using Ora-jel on the site. Its just a fix-it patch, but if the problem exists past the holiday, go to your dentist.
