Global warming has become the biggest threat for all living creatures. It can do havoc for our ecology, break the food web and thousands of creatures can go extinct.

We humans are the biggest cause behind the rapid increase in temperature even though global warming and cooling is a natural phenemonon. Due to our non sustainable living system, over exploitation of natural resources especially forests, pollution and many other factors which include some natural once global warming is posing a big threat.

Each and every individual can contribute a lot to help in controlling the situation although I donot think we will be able to stop it. If it is natural and will happen is a question normally asked by many and the answer is when it happens in a natural way we get enough time to prepare and adopt the changes coming but with rapid changes most of creatures will not be able to do so and that is where the problem is.

You can:

1- Plant a tree every year.
2- Save our forests.
3- Reduce waste.
4- Reuse when and wherever possible.
5- Reduce use of fossil fuel especially in vehicles (Pool your vehicle).
6- Try to reduce green house gases.
7- Save electricity and water.

So these are just a few things you can do. Hope it will help.

plant and protect trees, to reduce amount of CO2 in the air.
drive your car less often, and try going places in a pool (several people sharing the same car.
save energy at home, change light bulbs to energy saving ones, save on hot water and air cooling systems.
then there are the green options for producing energy, but I'm not sure if these really contribute, since the investment to erect them is consuming money and energy abundantly.

Since the rise in CO2 level preceded the invention of cars and electricity and everything else they want you to feel guilty about doing, just concentrate on getting the Feds to support the invention of substitutes for oil, gas and coal. That's mainly solar and wind power. Plus include nuclear if you want things to keep running on windless nights and hydrogen if you want to keep going where you want when you want.
