My sisters husband passed away in Feb of this year, he was only 40 years old with two boy's age 6 and 12. He was home alone with the boy's and told the older one to watch the younger one, he said he wasn't feeling well and went up stairs to lay down, my sister was gone. Sometime in the next hour he died of a massive heart attack. The younger one say's he saw at the top of the stairs a large dark figure in black with eyes that glowed that were purple, he ran to tell his older brother, he went up stairs and he heard a voice telling him NOT to go into the bedroom but saw nothing but felt a coldness. My sister came home to find her dead husband. She is a Christian but he was not a believer, in fact was very anit-God, anti-bible, he hated anything religious and believed there was no God and made fun of the "stupid" people who believed. Is it possible that this 6 year old did see this creature..he has described it like the things in the movie ghost, it's face was cat like...any suggestions?

Yes my friend, this "creature" the boy saw is a demon. I am glad you believe him, because often children are not believed when they see demons. Children can very often see them.
On that point, demons try to make contact with kids between the ages of about 3 to 7. They appear as cartoon characters, or imaginery friends, or more sinister type monsters. My son saw demons in the form of wolves when he was just 3 years old.
The demons would not obey me when I told them to go away, because I was not a child of God and so I did not have the authority of Jesus Christ. My son had to tell them to leave and only then would they obey - because as a child, he was under the protection of Jesus Christ.
The ONLY thing that keeps them away is Jesus Christ, because He is truth.

Children have not been corrupted in their mind or heart to what is real. There are real spirits but usually when we grow older we don't see them. When I was young I could see spirits and when I would wake up at night seeing dark figures and cry because they were scary, my family said it was a nightmare.I knew what I saw wasn't from being asleep and could not convince anyone that I really was seeing them.
When I grew up and started having a relationship with the Lord,I prayed about it and God showed me that it was real and why I saw them. Not all children see them,I have 5 kids and 2 have seen spirits when they were very young.
It really is a profound experience and you never forget it.
There is a lot of truth in the movie Ghost, the first them I saw it I thought man somebody else know the truth.

wow that is pretty freaky. i have heard that the reason why children have imaginary friends is because they are actually seeing ghosts. the explanation is that they are still open minded {ignorant} enough to not dismiss things they see, i know that every now and then i might catch something out of the corner of my eye but usually shrug it off as nothing. although when i was a kid my sister told me that one night i woke up screaming and said i told her that there was a scary looking woman above my bed, i don't remember this but i do believe that the house we lived in at the time was haunted.
then again your nephew could just have a vivid imagination.

It is very possible, I believe young children can often see things that adults cannot see as we have been taught they are not real and not to believe in them. My youngest is severely autistic and when he was an infant he would stare at the area just over my head (always the same area). My oldest was about 4 1/2 at the time. He heard me talking to the baby once saying I wish I knew what he always stared and cooed at. My oldest looked at me very mater-of-factually and said "the people on your head". When I asked what he meant he told me "the lady and two boys, they are on your head". I asked if they were always there and he told me they were and that sometimes there are others, but those three are always there. I asked him what they looked like and he described one of my grandmothers, an old friend of mine and an uncle of mine...all three of these people died before he was born and he had never seen pictures of any of them...they are all people I had been very close to when they were alive. It is very possible your nephew saw something.

My 4 year old son keeps telling me stuff that Thomas The Tank Engine says, so I'm pretty sure Thomas is the next messiah. Although his brother begs to differ and says its actually Barney.

I believe it because children are more in tune with the spirit world and they usually can see things like this. Hopefully that spirit did your brother in-law any harm. If he swallowed his pride and called on God then I'm sure he is fine right now.

I am sorry for your Sister`s loss and believe me what I say here is not a judgment of her husband, but there is written evidence that when Lenin was dying those in the next room heard terrifying howling and found him dead shortly after this.

Sounds like a Shadow Person???
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadow_people
I used to see them when I was a little kid.
It could also be an angel of death.
It matters less that we believe in God. It matters more if he believes in us.
In anycase, children are very attune in a myriad of ways. Perhaps they knew something was wrong and their mind create an image to convey what it felt subconciously???

Maybe it was the result of bad interpretations about God and ffalse belief in God. How come you could say that your sister is a christian. She is following the wrong path, so you can not call her Christian and call her.........
"well, I do not know the exact word".

Six year olds tell a lot of stories, don't they?
If this is supposed to terrorize us into believing in god, you need to know we're neither gullible enough to believe this kind of nonsense nor so easily frightened.
Oh, and your sister should be ashamed of herself.

Jesus h. christ, look at all the people here who believe in demons. What is this, the 11th century?
I hope to hell you people don't vote, drive, or have children.
