First yesterday my right wrist started to hurt on right hand side really bad, feels like there is a ball there, and feels like a bruise to touch or move it( not sure it carpol tunnel, only symtom) and second I woke up in the middle of the night and hurt my neck, ( I guess it was the way I slept) and today I can't move my neck at all cuz when I do it hurts my whole back too not just my neck. Had a hard time sleeping the rest of the night too, anyone have a clue to what these might be? And also I was lazy all winter (laid off from work and therefore not much exercise) could this be the prob?

not working for a long time and going back can definitely cause problems for your hands and neck. You must be doing a lot of computer work. You need to wear a wrist support to help decrease the pain in your hand. For your neck you can apply hot towels or a moist heating pad for twenty minutes and after words apply an analgesic balm. Take an over the counter medications such as Advil three times daily to help bring down the inflammation.

If you don't feel better within a few days I recommend you see a chiropractor who can help with the neck and also with the wrist problem. I've enclosed a link where you can find a qualified chiropractor in your area.

Well first i think most people have the "ball" you are referring to on each of their wrist, well i cetainly do anyhow. I think you will probably have banged or knocked it at some point and it may have bruised, with it being a really bony part, they tend to hurt more. I quite often sleep funny which makes my neck hurt the next day, I do recommend trying to keep it moving though rather than holding it stiff, which tends to make it worse. I think it will wear off as the day goes on. But if you are still in pain tomorrow or the next day, pop to see your doc just to check there is nothing else wrong. X
