diet is a way of life not a sprint.
do you really want to end up being obese yo-yo dieter? (all yo-yo dieters do)
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

Hi,

Dieting for 3 days out of 7 is confusing your body and while it may work initially in the longer term you will likely gain weight.

Why not just eat healthy 7 days a week and ditch the fad 3 day diet thing.

Staying slim is easy as long as you eat healthy food. If you have urges then it is your mind that you need to whip into shape. Occasional treats are allowed. Alittle bit of what you fancy NEVER did anyone any harm.

I think the following website and product will help you. Go to: www.loseweighthelp.org

Ok, some people bash this diet, which is fine...but my best friend did this & lost 80lbs in 5/6 months....& that was 5 years ago..she kept it off....I've also done it & lose 7-10lbs in the 3 days....like any diet, the 1st 10lbs are always water weight...as for muscle loss, I never lost any & I have a scale that mesasures muscle mass/body fat/hydration. So to answer your question, just try to stay with a low calorie diet during your 4 days off....1200-1800 depending on your weight & activity level. And actually, "confusing" your body, can actually help you lose weight. :)

So this diet does work, my friend, myself & alot of others are proof. Personally I obtained this diet from my doctor...it's recommended that only people who are 30+lbs over weight or more use it...but anyone can, if your smaller, you may not have as rapid results as say someone 100lbs over weight would.

You do what feels right to you....if anything this diet could serve as a good jump start. And as always with any diet, you have to stick with it & maintain, to make it work. :) Good luck & I hope I've helped you... & maybe some one else who likes to Bash this diet...lol....
