i have photos on camera but need a reader to put them on my computer to save batterys on my camera

I don't know if there's any difference between brands, but I'd get one that can handle several types of cards. Your next camera may not use the same memory cards as your current camera.

Get a multi-size one so you are covered for use beyond your presetn camera.

However don't throw a lot of money at it because they are becoming obsolete. When I bought a desktop HP it came with a bunch of different slots on the front to read cards without an accessory. I also noticed that Kingston just came out with an SD card for about $20 (512M) that unfolds to present a USB connector so it will go into any computer without a reader. To me that says readers are on their way out.

use the usb cord and just recharge batteries.
