"Gay" used to be a pleasant word, meaning bright, cheerful, happy and full of joy.
However it is now on the list of words that is best avoided, like "girl" for middle aged women and "boy" for African Americans. Both of those words could be used in a friendly way but are very likely to cause offense however they are used.

Unlike most people in the world today, Words do not bother me in anyway...They are just that--Words! Good or bad, even if people do not say something out loud they think it. I personally feel people should be able to voice there words and opinions with out fear of reprisal. At least you know what and how they are thinking. Its those who keep quit that you need to look out for.

It is no longer in vogue to use that expression. It was never acceptable or appropriate in the mainstream, but within the younger, selfish community...language is whatever they feel like saying at the moment, despite anyone's feelings.

You have no right to hate anyone, gay or straight. Gays keep to themselves, and unless a gay is bothering you, you must treat him\her with dignity. They enjoy sex with each other, so who are they, and how are they different from anyone else. It is very tempting to have sex with taboo practices, and gays have a hard time in society. Oral, or anal sex is a substitute for normal sexual activity. They are not bothering you, so let them be.
